July 9, 21: AutomaticWin, TripleDay, Yardwork, Oculus, 5K Race, and Games
Up shortly after six again this morning. Getting pretty solid with that wake up time, which is great, but I didn’t get to bed until after eleven last night, so yet another two hours short. Unbelievably, I made it through without crashing, though. 💪
Did the usual morning dooblydoo and did a claim over on Polydragon. The interest rates on Tether were fluctuating wildly yesterday and shot up to more than twenty percent overnight! It’s a little scary 😧 but so far I think my risk is safe…still in the green after I swapped some of the Tether back into MATIC.
To be honest, I’m still nervous about ETH scaling killing the whole thing, but then again, once the structures are built and established they’re a competitor and another opportunity, why not use it? We’ll see…for now I’m thinking about bridging more ETH over, but just leaving it as ETH so I can earn a little interest on it and just bridge back if things look like they’re going south.
Still just can’t seem to make myself sit down and do some web work (or at least try). It’s kind of gone beyond feeling bad, started to spill over into thinking the whole idea was dumb and I’ll never be able to do what I set out to do and will have wasted the money I’ve spent on hosting and all the time and effort.
If I had a dev (or several) I think things would be faster (and actually get done), but how would I attract them and with what would I pay them?!
Instead, I wasted some life playing someone else’s game. Got through the level on SniperElite where I was getting stuck and then played a round or two of Beat Saber.
To be completely honest, it was a bit rough to focus because I kept telling myself I shouldn’t be playing, should be working and accomplishing something instead.
So did I work? Well, sorta’. 😂 Went out and did some more of the edging and weeding out front. It really is starting to look very nice; sharp and tidy, but I couldn’t help but reflect on the fact that it’s a Sisyphean task. Just like mowing, the grass starts to grow back the instant you cut it. 😛
Took the wife’s loaner car back to the dealership and then they took me over to the rental car place and I got her a rental. They’ve recalled her car and decided that the whole engine needs to be replaced…has a bit of a tendency to catch on fire! 😱
When I got back my foot started to hurt deep in the arch, was bothering me, but figured it would pop and work itself out if I just walked it off.
Had a light snack because I was super hungry, but the Traffic Jam-In 5K race was this evening (on top of an automaticwin)!
Was just about perfect weather for a race! Not too hot and not too cold, juuuust right.
There was some cloud cover, but no rain, just served to keep the heat from the sun down somewhat.
Wenche registered properly and had her time recorded and everything; I just went to run. I ran her race, though…could have run a lot faster and for longer durations, but I stopped and walked when she did (except for the last fifty meters or so where I turned on the juice - just to show I still had a pretty full tank left).
I came straight home after the race and immediately had a bowl of cereal for dinner and snagged a shower. My foot 🦶 seriously started to hurt badly (like a pinched nerve or something) and so I took a couple of painkillers and almost immediately fell asleep.
Been a long time, but I scored 30k steps today…mucho hardcoro! This extended my #DoubleDay streak to the very longest it’s ever been!!! 🏆
Not sure what kind of glitch occurred in the System, but my income actually matched what it was supposed to be today! 😲🤑 Still massively dShitty, though, and no WEED income on top of that. 😡
Woah! Actually got all my Holybread tasks done today! 🥳 Piling up bread…for what purpose, I’m not sure, since I’m unwilling to spend them on potions anyway. 😂 Still, the bot fails to vote. 😡
It’s so annoying that I don’t lose by much, but yet I always lose against the guys in front of me; can’t seem to move ahead at all. Holding on to the top ten still, so that’s alright.
Well, I don’t farking get it. I set the two row barley malt going, but when I collected it it’s somehow the wrong kind? I don’t know, didn’t show up, so I couldn’t do a brew. I did win an NFT giveaway in their Discord, but I haven’t gotten it yet, I don’t think.
Not a heck of a lot going on with Rising Star. Just did a few more missions today, picked the last one, so it takes like three hours…kills a day right quick. Still feeling like my progress has slowed, but not resenting the time I’ve spent (yet 😂).
Went in with every intention to play Splinterlands. Reset my daily quest and got Fire again. Wasn’t having it, so I switched up and got Dragon instead, which should be a lot easier. Not sure what happened, though, looked at something different and then ended up falling asleep. 😲
