Sept. 21, 22: Routine, Teaching, Raven’s Event, Walking, TV, and Games

Alright! Slept from nine until seven today for a solid eight hours in the bag again! I’m surprised having crashed out in the afternoon for an hour, but I guess it was just getting/staying caught up. I did drag a bit after lunch (in fact on the drive in to work…my eyes started to roll a little 😱) but some Red Bull and teaching brought the adrenaline back up.

I guess one thing to note was that, after putting it off for longer than it needed, I finally put in a ticket for the NFT for King’s Throne that didn’t work. Within the hour they’d fixed it!!! 😯👍🤩 Super cool and amazing customer service. I have another one that didn’t work, but it doesn’t aggravate me any more, just need to report it and I’m confident they’ll correct it. 😁

Otherwise, just the usual. Cryptos still trading more or less sideways, and BTC is holding just under $20k. ETH did take another 5+% dive, but for some reason it didn’t help my Polygon investments much…MATIC and BAL been falling as well. 😭

Got the normal stuff done and worked on my post and was thinking about heading out, but it was hardcore raining, like thunder and lightning style, and I actually needed to get some school work done on the computer, so I decided to wait and hopefully take the dog out later.

While I did get one of the tasks done that I needed to for the schoolwork, I did dink around and wasted more time than I should have and I didn’t even start writing the Calculus exam…it’s alright, class isn’t until five thirty tomorrow so I have all day to do it (famous last words).

Got my regular sandwich for lunch, hopped in the shower, and then got everything together and headed in for work. Somehow, I was late out the door again, but I was there and set up with a couple minutes to spare anyway.

Today we looked at simplifying complex fractions. It wasn’t really anything new from what we’ve been doing, so not much front loading to have to do; mainly just plowed through a ton of examples and most of them did a couple ways to show them there’s more than one way to skin a cat.

We got out about fifteen minutes early or so again. I feel kinda’ guilty not teaching bell to bell, but there’s only so many times you can do something over and over before you need to take a break and come back to it later…just want to make sure they’ve seen examples of everything we can throw at them so there’s no surprises.

The drive home was smooth and when I got home there was still time left in Raven’s event over on Pizza Discord. Missed the first half or so, but had fun until it ended. Unfortunately, Blitzzz just kept wanting to kill me, so I didn’t win any of the battles, but still got a few tips. 🤑

Once that finished up, it was still pretty early in the evening and the clouds had cleared out, so I took the dog for a short walk and sniff around downtown. I think he enjoyed it and it wasn’t too far or too hot for him (although it was nice 😊 if you ask me - I’ll take eighties any day)!

Pretty wild, like a completely different day weather-wise in the evening from the morning. 😯 The sun was starting to set and there was a nice breeze, so it didn’t feel quite as hot as it was…just about perfect.

When we got back from the walk, it was time to start thinking about dinner and I made some pasta and sauce and fried up the last two hotdogs I got. I was feeling all dizzy and sweating (needed to eat NOW), but then I was only able to finish about half of it. 🤷 Wasn’t that much, but I didn’t force myself to finish it, just wrapped it for later.

Didn’t really do much for the rest of the evening. Just got ready for bed, played WombPlay, tried to play but immediately rage quit Splinterlands, and then watched a little more of Bless the Harts until bedtime.

Woah! Something actually changed on dShitty today. We got extra, extra shittiness with a crisis and my favorite: General Crime, ‘cus just fuck everybody in general.

I continue on with the Sisyphean task that is Rising Star. The drunk fans finally expired and with the lesson I got done, my Ego is back to zero and it’s missions again…only like thirteen more levels or seven hundred thousand StarBits before anything else even happens with this. 😢

Speaking of nothing happening, we’ve got the ol’ HashKings. Whoopee! One less day to wait now…more waiting to come. They should take all those DHF funds that are paying their rent and grocery bills, buy back all their BUDS, and burn them to nothingness…with the short-term spike in price, I might be able to get my money back.

Well, hum…after a week of nothing but losing on Splinterlands, getting absolutely nothing for my time other than wasting it, and being pissed about it, I think there’s pretty much only one thing left to say: “Fuck this game.”

This loss was complete bullshit and just tacked onto the rest, pushing me further down into Silver…I’m literally better off just not playing. For realsies, did not take me long to rage quit this time. 😡

Got quite a bit of liquid SPS saved up from the past few days…thinking I’m just going to swap it out for HIVE and invest it somewhere else. I also haven’t touched my vouchers in a long time; might be an idea to sell some out as well…pulling some value out does make me feel a little better about the whole thing.
