MUSHROOMS GROW AROUND PALM OIL WASTE DISPOSAL SITE

Hello Everyone and happy Friday for all of you...

This my contributions to #FungiFriday challenge by @ewkaw in Fungi Friday Community

Happy Friday to all of you, and as usual when Friday comes, we will post on the Fungi Friday community. This time I got mushrooms in an unusual place, namely at a palm oil waste disposal site. This place is at the back of the palm oil mill in my area, and this location is actually really big. This factory has two types of waste, namely liquid waste and also the palm fruit waste itself, and this palm waste is usually piled up in one corner of this location and this is where my spot is this Friday to look for mushrooms.

And this is the location, it's a bit dark here because a lot of oil palm trees are planted here and whole palm oil waste is scattered around, you can see a lot of whole palm oil waste at this location, and the mushrooms are in between the coconut waste the palm.

After yesterday's heavy rain overnight, of course, a lot of mushrooms grow on the sidelines of the palm oil waste here, moreover, it's very humid here and as you know, a damp place is the original habitat of mushrooms.

There are several types of mushrooms that I got today, and I'll start with this one. This type of mushroom is the one that I found the most around this palm oil waste. This mushroom has a soft texture and if you pay attention you will see like small hairs and almost like scales that cover the top of this type of mushroom.

The anatomy of this mushroom is very simple where the largest and finest part is the top. I found this type of mushroom with long and short stalks. They fill up every corner of this palm oil waste, sometimes I find them squashed between the piled up palm oil waste. If you hold it, this mushroom has a soft and slippery texture, and the color is pure white starting from the stem and also the top.

Apart from that, I also found other types of Mushrooms in the same place. This time I could clearly see the difference between the stem and the umbrella. From the outside, this mushroom looks smooth and does not have fine hairs like the previous type. The color is also slightly different, which is white with a slight brownish tint on some of the sides, and the top also has a slightly brownish tint.
If according to my observations, this mushroom is a type of wood fungus because I've found it in some rotten and loose logs.

In several locations I found several mushrooms which were considered to have the larger size of the mushrooms there. I don't know whether these big mushrooms are part of the oil palm waste mushrooms or not, because I only saw these types of mushrooms in one place, in the sense that if they came from oil palm waste mushrooms, they should have spread all over the place. Some of them have been damaged in shape because they were squashed by other palm oil waste.

Those are some types of mushrooms that I managed to get today, I hope you like them and see you on the next week's #FungiFriday post.
