I WAS LITERALLY PAID TO LEAVE MY ROOM

You're probably wondering if you read my header right, well you did, I got paid to leave my room a few days ago.
I have always been the type of person who enjoys his own company, I'm very comfortable staying indoors having no human interaction for days if possible, my family members are aware of this and they find it weird because they are all extroverts, I mean my family members are the life of thr party, they are always outside and for me that's a win, because I get to be left alone alot.

I stay with my aunt and her husband and I share similar traits with her husband in terms of wanting to be alone, sometimes we don't see each other for 2-3 days and we both live in the same apartment, though his staying indoors/alone is more of a period of recharge for him, because I wouldn't consider him an introvert, he is mostly outside on his off days at work and he's never around during the weekends so he is definitely not introverted.

My aunt spent the new year with my other aunt (her elder sister), so I was left alone at home during new year's eve with her husband, she had already persuaded me to come along but I declined because I haven't recovered from the Christmas party we had at my other aunt's place a few days ago, my aunt literally commanded me to go to that party, she said "it's not a request, it's an order, you're going to this party, you're always indoors go out once in a while" 😂.

My aunt's husband has never been the type to complain about my staying indoors, infact he always praised me for it, so it was really surprising to me when I received a credit alert from him a few days ago. We both had been indoors all day, and it felt pretty much natural to me, imagine my surprise when my phone buzzed with a credit alert notification, having seen the sender, I went to his room to ask what the money was for, my guess was it's probably for fuel but to my surprise on getting there he was getting ready to go out.

I asked my question and his reply was "you've been indoors all day, go out and unwind, you should have friends now,I'm also going out now so, do the same" honestly I could not control my laughter after I left his room, of course I didn't go anywhere, where would I even go?? But to create the ambiance of the great outdoors I went to the living room, put on some good music, fixed myself some chicken pieces and a bottle of fruit juice to step it down and that was it, I don't have to leave my room to have a good time.

Well, that was how I spent the few days of the new year, will update you guys later if anything fun comes up, Happy new year everyone.

Lol, how are we going to share this money since you didn’t eventually go out?

I don’t really like going out too, but mine is not as critical as yours though. However, I don’t always get the chance to, especially because of the fact that I am a woman. Lol, it’s funny but, it is what it is.

Man! You didn't leave your room; where is my share of the money you received? As a fellow introvert, I think I deserve to be paid to go out to 😅
