How moms can find “me” time

I'm a mom of two young kids, and I have to admit that I don't always feel like I have enough time in the day. Between work, household chores, and raising children, it's easy to lose yourself. And if you're not careful, you might never get back.

So how do we find "me" time? It doesn't mean that we need to go out and party every night. Instead, it means that we take some time for ourselves, whether it's going on a date with our spouse or simply reading a book while sipping coffee in the morning.

Here are some ways that you can carve out some "me" time:

Take a bath – When I was younger, I loved taking baths. But as soon as I became a mom, it was hard to find the time to relax in one. Now that I've found a way to make it happen, I love soaking in a warm tub. It gives me a chance to unwind and enjoy some peace and quiet.

Go shopping – If you're looking for a fun way to spend your "me" time, consider hitting up the mall. You'll be able to browse through stores without worrying about your children, and you may even find something that you want to buy!

Try a new hobby – If you're feeling stressed or overwhelmed, try picking up a new hobby. This could be anything from knitting to painting. The important thing is that you focus on yourself and forget about all of the other responsibilities you have.

Make time for exercise – Exercising is great for relieving stress, so why not incorporate it into your daily routine? Not only will this help you stay fit, but it can also give you an opportunity to clear your mind.

Read a good book – Reading a book has been shown to reduce stress levels, which makes it a perfect activity for "me" time. Pick up a book that interests you, and then read it by yourself. Don't worry about keeping up with the rest of the world; instead, just enjoy what you're reading.

Get a massage – If you really want to treat yourself, get a massage. They're relaxing and rejuvenating, and they can help relieve pain in your muscles. Plus, there are many types of massages that you can choose from, such as Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, and more.

Find a babysitter – If you can afford it, hire a sitter so that you can have some "me" time. If you're lucky, you might be able to find someone who will watch your children for free!
