Given that the detective was the star of the show, he didn't perform as well as he should have.

Even in football, some players are just star players and whether or not they’re the captain doesn’t dampen their performance. They’ll outshine the captain every time. With Morgan Freeman in there, it’ll take extraordinary performance for the detective to own his role and be the star.

This is great writing! I don’t do well with reading reviews to the end, but I finished this one.

I think I’ll give the movie a watch. See what American’s grasp of our beliefs and myths.
