LADIES OF HIVE CONTEST #53: WHICH FICTIONAL CHARACTER WOULD YOU LIKE TO MEET AND WHY?

It is an honor to participate in this contest (to me it is). I was privileged to participate in last week's contest and I must say congratulations to the winners.

For this week's contest, which you can find here, I decided to answer one question out of the two presented. You can answer both if you want.

WHICH FICTIONAL CHARACTER WOULD YOU LIKE TO MEET AND WHY?

I am pretty sure this isn't subjected to just movies. I read more than I watch. The fictional character I would love to meet goes by the name Ning Xi.

Ning Xi is a fictional character from the web novel Hidden Marriage. The main character, she endured maltreatment from her biological parents because her adopted sister -Ning Xuelo- manipulated them.

Although born a swan, she grew in slumps and when finally recognized, she fell a victim of grand plots and schemes all orchestrated by the one she thought she could trust. In Chinese fiction, the prominent families hold their name dear and would get rid of anyone who threatened to soil their name. Even if it was their own daughter.

Ning Xi fell in love with the charming Su Yan who later fell for the cunning and slithering ways of Ning Xuelo. Ning Xi was also set up by her "sister" and was raped. However, Ning Xuelo somehow managed to get off the hook for being the most loved.

Ning Xi, pregnant and lonely, decided to take care of herself. But the malicious schemes of her sister did not end there. Ning Xi encountered an accident that caused her to loose her pregnancy of seven months(or did she?). That is the twist.

Thinking she had lost it all, she migrated and settled in a place where she became known as Bro Xi. A skilled gun-man. Her favorite was the Italian Beretta 92F.

Two years later, she returns with the thirst to become someone and something. No feelings whatsoever towards revenge because she felt it wasn't worth it. She moves into the entertainment industry but Ning Xuelo won't just let her be. Using her power as the beloved of the Ning family, she tries to suppress Ning Xi.

However, you can never suppress talent for long and soon it comes to light.

I loved the character Ning Xi because even with the whole odds against her, she never succumbed to defeat. When she moved away, she went to better herself not sit back and while away time plotting meaningless revenge. However, karma came to bite Ning Xuelo in the butt.

I would love to meet Ning Xi because she is someone (even though fictional), I want to be like. She was smart, tough and very courageous. She never let her emotions rule her life. Although meek and sweet(in the eyes of Lu Tingxiao, the male lead), she was cunning and deadly. A thorned rose that sprung from the ashes.

Even when she was shot numerous times, she protected the life of her son(whom she found later on). A mother with the heart. She stood for the less fortunate and helped those she could. She did not let her experiences define who she was, she wrote her own story and saw that her dreams came through.

Wanna hear a secret? Come closer... The fake husband turned out to be the father of her child. The father of her child fell in love with her. The father of her child is the god of wealth who'd exterminate whoever it was that got her upset.
