The expectations were high

CyberPunk 2077 is one of the most anticipated games ever to be released, and with the amount of time the game was delayed, that made gamers expect something amazing when it was finally released. Well, I am here to say that it is beyond amazing.

There really aren't many games that have been released that were able to create a truly living and breathing game world, until now. This game is truly a "next gen" game. I have spent a lot of time just wandering around the massive city just looking at how beautiful it looks and watching how all of the characters interact with each other and the environment.

There was about 30 minutes that I spent just walking around a plaza and looking at all the different minute details, from piles of trash intentionally put in areas where trash would normally gather in a city, to graffiti on cracked walls and seeing how the paint conformed to the cracks.

The game is visually stunning, there is no doubt about it. It is the best looking game that I have ever seen. I can see why the game was delayed so many times, and it is awesome to see that a company took the time to make sure those delays were all worth it.

Now enough about how the game looks, is it fun? Hell yes it is. There is something so refreshing about this game. Instead of rehashing the same old game mechanics, this game decides to say "fuck all that shit you have done in games before, we are going in a totally new direction to give you a whole new type of gaming experience."

There is so much in this game that is just totally insane to comprehend how they were able to come up with the ideas for it. The level of imagination and creativity is insane.

There are these things called a "braindance," which is basically a way to experience something that was recorded. It is basically virtual reality on steroids because it allows your character to feel as they are watching or experiencing the braindance. It allows you to see through the eyes of someone else and feel the emotions and sensations that they did when the braindance simulation was created.

During the braindance, you can also step out of the first person view and scan the surroundings in a virtual recreation of the event. You need to fast forward, rewind and pause during the braindance and search for different clues to complete missions. I think you can use braindance like what most of the other people in this world use it for as well, and that is having sex with people.

Now speaking of sex in this game, there is full frontal nudity that can be seen during the first few minutes of the game, as you are creating your character. You can change the size of your dude's penis, or give him a vagina if you want. You can also create a female character and see everything there as well. So needless to say, this game wasn't made for kids at all.

The game is one of the most immersive experiences I have ever had in gaming. I have found myself taking my time as I play and trying to take it all the sites and sounds of the game. Speaking of sounds, the sound design is incredible. I walked outside and as my character's eyes adjusted to the sunlight, the sounds of the city began to fill my ears. There was so much attention to detail with how the different sounds get louder or quieter as you move around and it all just helps to pull you into the game.

Now there are some glitches and bugs with the game and they do pull me out of the immersion whenever I see them, but I am not going to let them ruin anything for me, because I know that the game will be patched and it will be taken care of. Any game of this magnitude is going to have problems at the beginning.

Anyways, this post ended up being a lot longer than I had anticipated. I am really looking forward to getting more into the game and seeing where this crazy ride will take me. Overall, I am very impressed with this game and it was well worth the wait and the cost of the game. Hopefully you get a chance to play it soon if you haven't already started playing.
