Weekend engagement 143 - Life and death situations

Hello hive friends, I hope that everyone is feeling very well today. I am here to leave you with my participation in this week's weekend engagement 143, the topic I chose Life and death situations I hope you like my post, however nothing more to add I will begin to develop the topic.

When I was about 13 years old I went to the island of Margarita located in Nueva Esparta Venezuela, it was a great trip that I remember very fondly, we visited different tourist places, we did shopping, and everything a tourist does when traveling, the question is that one of those days we decided to go to the beach, since we didn't know many places to go swimming we went to the first one we saw, it looked like a great beach full of people swimming and surfing.

Precisely what we did not know is that this was a beach for surfing due to its gigantic waves, but the truth is that since we did not know much about the area, it became a normal beach for us, my brother was playing on the shore collecting shells when suddenly a wave hit him. He grabs and pulls him for the cool part so I run, help him out and start collecting shells with him.

Suddenly a gigantic wave comes and pulls us towards the wave part of the beach, I try to grab my brother to get out but another wave pushes us back into the sea, I see a group of people swimming so I scream for help, one of them They tried to swim towards us but when they saw that we were already very far away, they returned to land. I remember the great disappointment I felt when I saw the subject return. I felt a great emptiness since I was the only person who knew that we were drowning.

I remember feeling great fear when I saw the shore disappear completely, we were drowning and no one could see us, I must point out that neither my brother nor I knew how to swim, in a desperate action I tried to go to the bottom of the water and try to crawl back, my surprise It was gigantic when I noticed that I couldn't get to the bottom, that's when I felt the real terror, we were going to drown and there was no way to get out of that situation.

They always say that when you are going to die, life passes before your eyes, I assure you that it is completely true, I remembered my father's advice, I remembered moments where I was happy and, above all, I remembered my family, my brother and I were going to die. , that gave me a feeling of sadness, but not because I was going to die but because we were going to leave my parents and my sister alone, my brother was next to me so I tried to lift him up so he could breathe a little, meanwhile I I was swallowing a lot of water from trying to breathe, it was almost impossible to avoid swallowing water, I remember feeling my stomach very full and cold from swallowing so much water, our stage looked bad everywhere you looked, and my legs and hands were very tired from trying to keep up. afloat, he was already completely exhausted and the water he was swallowing was increasing, he was going to die, there was no doubt about it.

When I was about to throw in the towel, I began to hear louder and louder noises in the distance, they were jet skis coming towards us, with the little breath I still had left I yelled for help, the guys on the motorcycles were towards us, they mounted us and took us towards the shore, had it been a miracle? Well, it is yes and no, the guy who had tried to help us when he saw that he was not going to be able to rescue us returned to the beach and sought help, if it had not been for him, we would have died in a horrible way, I owe him the life of my brother and mine, the truth was a relief to think that I was alive to breathe another day, the only thing I remember after that experience is having vomited a lot of water, after a medical check-up and checking that everything was fine the next day We were like new, we even went to another beach but this time to a family beach, not a beach for surfing, to this day my brother and I sometimes remember that experience and talk about it, it is an anecdote worth remembering.

And well, friends, I hope you liked my contribution to the weekend experience, I really enjoyed writing it, I rarely talk about this experience, so I hope you liked it, thanks for stopping by, see you in the next post, until next time.

¡Thank you for reading!

¡Until next time!

Wow, your experience was terrible 😮, friend @derppunk It scared me just reading it. My brother once had something like that happen to him on a beach in La Guaria. Thank God that person came back for you and that you are telling this story today 😃

Yes, I was lucky if that guy hadn't been near where we were drowning, now he wouldn't be here. 😅 greetings and a strong hug!

Similar experience happened to my friend and I happened to witness it. I have to say, it was really life threatening and my friend was trying to get out of the water but your story was more intense. Thanks to those guys who were able to rescue you in time.

Yes, I owe my life to those guys, if they hadn't come back to ask for help, maybe my brother or I wouldn't be here, greetings!

De terror 😱

Yo se nadar, pero sola, no imagino lo difícil que fue para ti esa experiencia.

Gracias a Dios luchaste por sobrevivir.

Gracias por compartir tu experiencia, saludos @derppunk

Well I had that experience at a very young age, even so it made me appreciate how fragile life is.

This was indeed a terrifying experienced of you and your brother. I never could imagine dying in a water too. That's the reason why, I am afraid to swim in the ocean. I am glad that, the man saved your life and it was indeed a miracle one. 🥰

It was the best coincidence that could have happened to us, if only they hadn't yelled at us for help, we wouldn't be here right now.😆
