How I act as a mediator

Hi great hivers, am glad to meet you all this week again, I hope everyone is bouncing well, as for me, am cool.

Just last week Friday I hard a call from my friend, that my attention is needed in there house, I quickly Rush to the house and I sow her crying and her husband was sitting down beside her, she told me that her mother-in-law when and brought 5 kids to stay with her last 5 month and the responsibility of the kids is all on them but the husband did not say anything, she doesn't eat what she wants and in the morning she doesn't do breakfast anymore because she is always thinking of the food that will be enough for everyone, before they knew it, the old woman when and brought 2 kids again, making 7 kids.

To crown it all, they are not related and they are still small non of them can wash plate or even cook.
my friend is the one that does everything to the kids and my friend get upset.
from there she told her husband that she will no longer continue this, she want to start cooking separately but the husband refuses, before you know it dispute set in very high and my friend was ready to leave the house, if her husband will not grand her wish.

And the husband doesn't want to hurt his mom by telling her to return the children, according to him, he said, the mother doesn't want to be alone, she needed children around her, that is the only way she will be happy.

How I solved the problem

I first of all told my friend never to rush in take desition when she is angry, let her calm down because there is no problem without remedy, and i try to let her know that she need to be submissive and not to be a nagging wife, because even her husband is not finding it easier he is in a tide position he can't leave his mom.

while I addressed the man, in a calm way he should reason with his wife, and in other to solve the problem he should put his mom under allowance that is the only way, you as a man you will have your own peace and any thing your wife cook let her give the mother-inlow.

And all of them agreed to it ,That was how I settle the dispute.

But my problem is who will be cooking, washing and do order house chores for this kids and the old woman I was not able to look for solution to that problem.
