Wednesday walk to Kovach and Veleka river

avatar

Greetings everyone!
Today I would like to share my walk to the area of Kovach, which is located about 50 km from the city of Burgas, between the villages of Zvezdets and Brashlyan in the heart of Strandzha Nature Park.

In general, the place is quite picturesque, but at this time of the year the trees have not turned green yet.
The area offers quite interesting routes for walking, fishing, etc. The river Veleka also passes right from there, which was not particularly full of water, but is normal at that time.

Right here is the inn "Kovach" where many people come to enjoy the delicious traditional dishes and the nature.

But what impressed me the most is the zoo located near the restaurant. A variety of birds roamed freely there - ducks, pheasants, peacocks...

This post is for #wednesdaywalk - an initiative of @tattoodjay collaborating with #MakeMeSmile challenge hosted by @elizacheng.

Thanks for reading 😊

Most enjoyable walk seeing the region before Summer arrives, ambling along the river or through the woods, ending up socializing with traditional dishes on offer at quaint restaurant.

Interesting spaces we find ourselves an immersion experience in nature.

Now I look forward to seeing this with Spring flowers or summer in green with the water flowing through.

Oh sorry, I got the name wrong - it's not a pheasant, it's a peacock, right 🫣

Haha I didn't notice. The blue one is a peacock... looking back I see ducks, chickens (maybe) and a peacock
