A WALK TO ANNANG STUDENTS ASSOCIATION CULTURAL DAY

Hello friends, I will share with very one this week my Wednesday walk engagement.

It was quiet a fortunate opportunity for me as I was wondering on how and where I'm going to do a Wednesday walk. So as I was thinking, I received an invitation to attend the Annang students association cultural day at College of Education, Afaha Nsit, Akwa Ibom state that happened to be on a Wednesday, wow!

It was an interesting event. Here are photos of the cultural display

The Annang people are the Southern Ibibios of Akwa Ibom state, Nigeria.
This ethnic group is made up of eight (8) local government areas. They have many elites among which is the 10th Senate president of the federal republic of Nigeria, senator God's will Obot Akpabio.

The event was so colorful as the students showcase some cultural display that entails their cultural heritage.

The likes of the Okuku Annang emeritus and elders in the students forum was invited.

People of honour were respectfully invited to grace the occasion. The sons and daughters of Annang tribe were invited as well as their friends to witness and celebrate the cultural day.
Also the likes of the Akpan (Annang first son) and the Adiaha Annang (first daughter) were invited to with the the coronation rite that was also taking place in the cultural day celebration.
The event ended with much fun as everyone departed home.
