"Tasty and healthy veggie dish is the best!"

Hello, friends especially foodies!

Today is sunday, good thing is in the morning we went to the traditional market so i could buy some veggies. And i cooked it today as our lunch. Before, i would like to tell a bit about silky gourd.

Also known as chinese okra, silky gourd had hard outer skin but really soft in the middle. It had green outer color with brighter green color inside. It had sweet natural flavour.

Come to check how i made it!

Ingredients:

  • 4 pieces of silky gourd, peel then cut off
  • 3 pieces of garlic
  • 3 red orange chilli
  • some cooking oil, i used palm oil
  • a bit salt
  • a bit zero calories corn sugar

Preparation and Cooking Time:

Approximately an hour

How i made it:

First i peeled the groud then wash it.

Then i cut it off, also i cut the garlic. No need to cut the chilli cause i didn't want it too be too spicy.

I first heated the oil then put the garlic. Stirred well. Then i put on the groud after that i put some salt, stirred well.

Next i also put on some sugar to it. Stirred well, then waited until it well cooked. I didn't add any more water cause the water came from the groud.

The flavour of the dish was sweet and savory with a bit spicy flavour. It had soft silky texture, and we really loved it. Healthy, simple, and also vegan friendly.

I have seen this in Asian markets here in Canada for years. I didn't know what it was or what to do with it so I was afraid to try. Now I am inspired to get one. Thanks for the recipe. I'm excited to try a new vegetable.😀
