DJINN BILJKA : Secret Hidden Tank
Welcome to my Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge. This Week we have GEM METEOR from Chaos Legion Edition as our official theme however I do not have this card. I have decided I will replace that GEM METEOR with this monster, DJINN BILJKA. It's a Legendary Rarity Earth Element Monster from Reward Edition..
DJINN BILJKA QUICK REVIEW
Shorten lore:Dawn of the Djinn 1 of 4 - The Thousand Year War before the Splintering never really ended. Dozens of Belludae (ancient demons of war) officers had been taken prisoner, but their fates had yet to be decided. Belludae sorcerers of such a high degree were notoriously difficult to kill, so other plans had to be made.
Djinn Biljka is a Legendary rarity monster, so it's a common thing if we expect this monster to be somewhat outstanding or super powerful compared to others in general. If you see the stats above, Djin Biljka has a snail level of speed, always be 1 from lowest level to highest level. He doesn't have any outstanding attributes, although undeniable he has three usefull abilities: Camouflage, Void, and Weaken (reduce all opponent health -1). Let see how we can make some mapping about this monster:
DJINN BILJKA STRENGTH
DJINN BILJKA is a 3 Mana Monster. He is a type of filler monster, which doesn't need big mana and usually people will choose this monster later... when they finish picking up their main monsters and have some mana left for 1-2 last spot in the team. In another words, he won't be your core monsters, or a main damage dealer in your team.
A Growing 3 Mana Monster. Most 3 mana monster won't grow well as their level increased, however this won't implied on Djinn Biljka because he is a Legendary monster. The table below will explain how he grows as he levels up.
League | Role | Key Point |
---|---|---|
Bronze | A hidden filler | Camouflage ability will make him out from opponent target. None will see him until every team mate died. |
Silver | A hidden filler, Alternate Tank | Silver league is where he gets the most power up. First his attack gets one extra damage then He gets void ability. This is great because a magic reflect can't kill him now, void will negate reflected magic attacks on him. A Void ability can be utilize to transform him into a Tank during Equalizer Ruleset |
Gold | A Hidden Debuffer, Alternate Tank | Same as him on silver league level, but this time he has an extra Weaken ability which make all his opponent lose one max health |
Diamond | A Hidden Debuffer, Alternate Tank | Same as him on Gold league level cap, however his attack damage has become 3 now |
DJINN BILJKA Can Be an Alternative Tank. On Silver Level Cap, he gets Void Ability, which reduce 1 magic damage he receives. During Equalizer Ruleset which every monsters will have same health point, Djinn Biljka becomes a good antimage tank similar Djinn Oshannus from Water Element... although the speed difference is big
DJINN BILJKA WEAKNESS
DJINN BILJKA Is So Slow. He has only 1 speed and will always have that speed. In term of speed battle, this monster will become a burden for his team. However if you have reverse speed ruleset, things will be opposite and he might be your first choice.
2 Health Point Sometime Gives You An Extra Headache. He has a Camouflage ability to protect himself however we have many monsters who have Blast Ability. Blast can kill him easily and it's not funny to have Djinn Biljka dies from blast damage.

Finally I got my battle with Equalizer ruleset. This was a modern format silver league battle rank. Both of us using Obsidian Earth element team. 38 mana cap is a good size too to have a 6 monsters team. The biggest question was what opponent would I have later, same Earth or a Death Element one? Let See how I made my line up
Position | Card | Ability | Plan and Strategy |
---|---|---|---|
Summoner | +1 magic | One of my favorite summoner, Ease to use, focus on buffing up magic attacks. Obsidian is the perfect summoner if you want to use magic team and of course having an Obsidian opponent means you have to prepare a team against mages | |
Main Tank | Double Strike | One of the deadliest attacker from chaos legion. I will use Slipspawn behind to give more time for Grund to finish as many opponent as he can. His speed are a bit faster than most of mages in Chaos Legion edition, so it's kind of safe to use him against a bunch of mages | |
Second | Camouflage, Void | Our main theme for this week. He will be my secondary tank, and I think Grund will fall in the second or third rounds. There will be time that Djinn Biljka capability as an anti magic tank be tested | |
Third | Fly | My first magic squad member. 2 magic damage with 6 speed. Damage wise, Peryton is not the best however his 6 speed is very essential in any battle. It's a guarantee that he will hit first before others. | |
Fourth | Tank Heal, Affliction | My secondary magic damage dealer and the only support in this team. His affliction ability will became my secret weapon too incase this becomes a long rounds battle | |
Fifth | Taunt | My favorite backline taunting tank. She will die fast for sure, but hopefully she can buy enough time for Grund to kill some of his targets. | |
Last | Thorn | My backline filler. I had 1 mana left so I put him behind incase opponent using sneak attackers, they will die from the thorns. I should put him on 5th position, however I just ignored that because I thought 0 chance opponent would come using any blast capable monster. |
It's a bad thing that I did not have Queen Mycelia, her existance was a great contribution against any physical attack team either Melee or Range ones. Queen Mycelia was so expensive so I got used myself playing without her.
Round 1
- This battle started by each parties buffed and debuffed monsters.
- My opponent came a total 16 magic damage.
- My team had 3 Melee Damage and 11 magic damage too. Our fire power was even, almost the same because my Melee Damage came from Grund who has Double Strike Ability
- First move was made by our Regal Peryton, then my Regal Peryton first then followed his right away.
- His Mycelic Slipspawn was the first to die because he put her on the main tank positon.
- My Slipspawn died too at the end of this round. His goblin fired a 3 damage magic ball attack and that's too much for her.
- In the end both of our Slipspawn died. My team suffered more damages here because one of my Grund attack hit armor from Queen Mycelia Protect Ability.
Round 2
- The same as always for any battle against Earth Element, Regal Peryton moved first... My Peryton moved first, then his Peryton made the second move.
- My Djinn Biljka killed his Regal Peryton.
- Somehow my Grund survived this round by a 1 health point, it's a cliffhanger situation
Round 3
- Again, Regal Peryton made the first move in this round.
- His Magi of Chaos killed my Grund in this round, however My Djinn Biljka got the revenge, killed that Magi of Chaos right away
- Now my Djinn Biljka got onto main tank position, let's the meta began!!!
Round 4-5 - Time for Djinn Biljka To Shine
- From this point I fast forwarded the battle because most of the actions were exchanging damages
- His Queen Mycelia fallen on round 5, my Djinn Biljka killed her.
Round 6-7
- In round 7 my Djinn Biljka killed his Goblin Psychic.now the situation became 1 vs 3, I couldn't see how he could win in this situation.
Round 8-9
- I needed 2 turns to finish that Djinn Biljka alone. This proved that Djinn Biljka was very strong against magic attacks.
Battle Discussion:
Basically my opponent came with a better line up. He had Queen Mycelia and her armor held two of my grund attacks. He had Djinn Biljka too. So why did he lost? He made two mistake in this battle:
- Half Ass Goblin Psychic. Never brought bronze cap level Goblin Psychic, always brought at least Goblin Psychic with an Affliction Ability. we always need that affliction in a long run round battle like this one.
- During Equalizer ruleset, Djinn Biljka Void ability is always more important than his Camuflage Ability. We need him as a tank rather than a hidder shooter. If he put his Djinn Biljka in front, maybe I might lose this battle.
So remember, during Equalizer Ruleset, DJINN BILJKA IS A TANK!!!!
