Sometime Good Player Loses Miserably

Greetings Summoners

Today I come up with an unique thought, rather than spilling some of my tricks, or showing off some battles I have won with some great teams, I come up with an Idea about some misfortune lol. It's quite a nasty one but I believe the point I will share here is a good one.

You know, sometime some good players lose miserably. I mean they lose like a noob, it can be some misfortune because their opponents counter their meta perfectly, or maybe they get a phone call and could not set up the line up on time, or maybe they are just drunk lol.

But for today case, I will try be more specific about those possibilities. Sometime they just lost, that's it. They might have some great ideas about something, but it did not work. Sometime we experience that thing too, we plan something great but it doesn't work. It can be countered or maybe plainly could not work due to RNG or anything.

For this topic, I will have MANGOMAYHEM as the study case

This Filipino guy is very famous in Splinterlands, it's a pity that he doesn't play again recently and has set someone else as the scholar player of his account. A scholar should be someone above average ability, because they would not be selected if they are just some another joes. Well maybe due to friendship, but I don't think it's the case here.

This was the battle. It's a 4 units vs 4 units battle due to Four's a Crowd modifier. So this was like a contest of which side had the better Fantastic four. We could say that with the addition of Explosive Weaponry modifier there, nobody could hide in their team. The blast will try to kill everyone there.

In general both of us came with a solid meta and superb line up. We both would rely massively on the magic attacks. What's the difference then? Well my team meta was exploiting Execute ability from the NigHoggr and their meta was exploiting Bloodlust from their summoner, Dragonlord Mancer.

One would be stronger as the battle progress due to the buff up from the Bloodlust abilities, and the other party would try to make gap by killing opponents using execute. Which meta was better?

My Warborn Shaman had a move in the ambush round. This move was the main reason why they had their nightmare in the first round.

The first round started with my Night Reaper activated his Execute ability. However Night Reaper was not the only one who activated the Execute abilities, all my three units did that, Barashkukor, Night Reaper and Warborn Shaman.

The result was obviously simple. I won with absolute dominance... However I preferred to say that my opponent lost miserably. He had a strong team with solid meta, it's just that what he came with was something that exactly I was anticipating. He lost without having any opportunity to make any moves there, just stood still and lost...

So this was the good example how a Good Player loses miserably. Sometime it's not they are being bad, nor their opponent being super strong. Miserable loses can happen to anyone on Splinterlands.

That's all I want to share today. Thanks for reading and see you on Splinterlands battle!
