Soon They Will Form Splinterlands TMNT lol

Hello Summoners
In this Splinterlands post, I will share something so frivolous. I think it is good talk cheap and funny stuffs about in-game Splinterlands so players or summoners do not get too intense about "making money" from playing it.
So I use this post as a continuation from my Splinterlands post that I wrote years ago. I even could not recall it properly, but I am very sure that in the past I joked a lot about having Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle in my line up.

It was started by having this great card, Swamp Spitter. Swamp Spitter was a free card we got as rewards from playing Splinterlands, and although he was a common card, back then he was terrific. The fact that he shot hard 3 range damage and had a repair ability, was a bit to strong for a common card.
He was one of the early cards that enabled new opportunity, that you could defend without losing or sacrificing your offense. Swamp Spitter was and never be the core card that could carry a whole team, but his existence opened that meta.
Fast forwards to nowadays, actually we have another turtle hero here, a ninja wannabe.. The Aerial Shieldmaiden.

Aerial Shieldmaiden is an unique case for me. At the beginning, I saw her as something "MUST HAVE" in my line up, however I have to admit that I rarely use her recently. The foundation cards and escalation edition have created some better line up with their new units.
And I have to count in the new reward cards too, there are many other options I could go rather than forcing myself having Aerial Shieldmaiden in my team. However don't get me wrong here, I am not saying she is weaker than those units, it's just those units blend well better than her.
In general, I still think Aerial Shieldmaiden is strong. During certain condition, especially if your opponent does not expect you come with opportunity attacks, Shieldmaiden is your trump card there.
Maybe because the character is a SHE, people do not relate this tortoise to a Teenage Muntant Ninja Turtle joke. Not for me, I often think that... can she do well with Swamp Spitter in my team? Will they continue our TMNT Splinterlands joke?
The Battle
The opportunity to team up Swamp Spitter and Aerial Shieldmaiden came in a Brawl Battle. That time I dared myself to team up them with these condition:
- That battle was not magic friendly. Everyone had a magic reflect ability, and
I did not want to get countered by that condition. - Somehow my hunch told me to go all out in that battle. Maybe the 59 mana cap drove me to think that way.

However both of us somehow decided to ignore that modifier, Shapeshift happens. I believed both of us came with same conclusion, we just wanted to gang ho, attack attack and attack.
Actually there was one big different approach between my team and their team. Could you notice it?
- Their team focused on buffing up themselves. They added speed from supply runner swiftness ability and Jani Rebel's inspire ability.
- My team focused on recovery, I used Calabash Sage to heal my tank and Swamp Spitter to fix the broken armors.
So I emphazied more on defense, and tried to counter attack using two units which had opportunity ability, whilst they were confidence with their attack by sending one Sandworm to break my backline.
In this battle Swamp Spitter was the defensive tortoise unit I had and Aerial Shieldmaiden was one of my core attackers. One attacker and one defender, hopefully they would team up very well here.

Aerial Shieldmaiden showed her prowess instantly in the first round. She put down Supply runner, and this took out their speed buff and affected their team overall speed. This could be the starting point of their deteriorating strategy.

Until round 3, their Sandworm could not kill anyone, especially my Swamp Spitter as his target. Swamp spitter kept fixing his armor and that armor withstood Sandworm massive attack. Sadly in round 3, Swamp Spitter fell down from Sandworm attack.

The last decisive action from Aerial Shieldmaiden came in the round 4. She took down opponent prismologist. It made Sandworm as the sole survivor in my opponent line up, and it's a matter of time before we put him down. Good Game.
Well what do we see from that battle? I think it is safe to say that those two tortoise worked well together, and the dream of having all turtle units might come true in future lol. We have two right now, one is more defensive and the other one is purely attacker but actually there are others but I could not afford to buy them....
Maybe we will have the next one as a tank to replace this Tortisan Fighter

but this one is too outdated and hard to fit him in with existing meta which have overpowered his era
Or a Mage Healer such as Tortisian Chief

This one is a great unit too, but sadly the price is ridiculous and he has lack of soul to be Teenage Mutant... he is an old guy lol.
well who knows? Actually we had a mage turtle, but I do not have the card lol.
Anyway thank you for visiting my post today, and please show me your turtle team in in the Splinterlands battles lol... Have fun guys!

Repair and Tank heal, what a great strategy. That is why most times, splinterlands games always rewards strategy over raw power. Kudos @dewabrata .I also want to let you know,I have completed the 100 battles in survival,Novice tier.Thank you.
