The Power Of Ambush(es)

Welcome back again to my weekly Splinterlands post. Earlier I want to share some story about my buddy in Splinterlands, but somehow It started to sound too cringe and too gay lol. So I have decided today I will share another tips that I often use in my battles. Sorry buddy, I have to hide you here lol No gay story about you.

Ok Ambush is a very unique ability, it allows the unit to hit first in ambush stage, which is a pre round before the first one. So for you who haven't used ambush yet, it's like your units will hit twice in the first round. It sounds so cheat, but that's all about it. After the first round, everything will be normal, nothing special about the ambush ability holder unit

Whether it will be special, it will be lethal, or it will be a flop... Everything is decided in the first round. For me, ambush means you have to make the kills in the first round, or else everything will be useless. That's why I believe the perfect ambush it the ambushes, where you have multiple units ambushing your target. It will be the power that equal to cheating.

Rather than having me blabbering out of control, let make this simple by seeing a battle here...

This our battle, and I like this one a lot. In this battle I feel like I have to fight a giant, a david vs goliath one. 4 of 6 units of my opponent are max leveled ones, so it's not a wrong thing if I say this is a battle against max level team. Their levels are twice of mine, which all of my line up are still on silver league cap level.

I am using AKANE here, one of my favorite summoners. I am addicted with her ability, which gives 2 units ambush ability. I can make a team of ambushers and that will be my meta.

The challenge in using Akane is to get the right units for ambushes. We need to get the big hitters here, although sometime those big hitters are not he one we need in the battle. Luckily it is not the case for this battle.

Before the round 1 starts, there is an ambush stage. I have 3 units with ambushes, all of them are mages or magic attackers. The first one Warborn Shaman which has his organic ambush ability. The second one is Nigh Reaper, he is fast with 4 speed, so I expect this one will be very decisive even after the first round.

The last and the best, he is my trump card, the Barashkukor. He has 5 magic damage, and that's all I need from him. He should be able to make my team getting at least one kill per round. Together they should be able to make a kill in the ambush stage

But what can I say here? We have failed to make any kill here lol. That Cavewise Wayfinder is still alive and he has 6 melee damage due to being enraged. It is a failure here, but not a total one. Cavewise Wayfinder indeed very strong, and he has that void ability, which helps him survive the massive magic ambushes.

My team manages to eliminate two of their tanks in the first round, however they are very prepared with the third tank there. Overall at this point, ambushes are no longer have any function. My team has a lead of one unit, and that's what my ambush squad has delivered up to now.

Due to level supremacy, my opponent has better attributes and they are catching up. Well that's what happens if you lose a lot in levels. However I think the gap is already too big and they would not be able to close the gap in time.

Round fourth will be the last one, this is the stage which they get locked down. If there is another round, they might catch up for real. That's the power of ambush, it gives me an extra round and creates a gap that lead me to win.
