Photographing street scenes in and around Barcelona

I've always been in love with the idea of street photography. Some of the most iconic images ever captured were simple slices of life. I think that there is something about capturing real moments of real people that speaks to all of us. As humans we inherently understand each other, we see ourselves in other people, or we feel for them, or maybe at least we just see them, I try to see them.

I find myself always searching for "that thing" that I can't really describe, it's just, I know it when I see it, or feel it, and there is something about people going about their daily lives that let's that thing slip out occasionally. I try to capture it when I see it, but it's not easy.

Some of my favourite photographers are street photographers. I really admire them, their vision, their speed and accuracy, their talent, their absolutely galling fearlessness and drive to capture that magical moment. I want to be like them, but mostly I just want to try and show the world "that thing" that I'm trying to capture.
