Mis lugares favoritos de La Habana, Cuba.

En La Habana, capital de Cuba y ciudad donde vivo hay dos parques zoológicos y son de mis lugares favoritos. En esos lugares se pueden encontrar un conjunto de cosas que casi todos los seres humanos buscamos para estar más cerca de la felicidad: contacto con la naturaleza, paz, belleza y diversión. Lamentablemente la percepción de esas cosas cada vez se opaca más por el deterioro de estas instalaciones y el mal cuidado al que están sometidos los animales.

The oldest zoological park in the country, the 26 Zoo in Vedado, was inaugurated in 1943, and after the triumph of the Cuban revolution, the rehabilitation and expansion of the facilities began. El Parque Zoológico Nacional de Cuba, cito en una zona aledaña al poblado de Calabazar, en el municipio Boyeros, abrió sus puertas al público en marzo de 1984, es más grande que el anterior y tiene una pradera africana y un foso de leones que son su principal atracción. Para pasar por estos dos lugares hay que montarse en unos ómnibus que hay en el parque. Primero pasan por el foso de leones donde hay de estos animales de ambos sexos sueltos. Después el ómnibus pasa por la pradera africana donde conviven animales como hipopótamos, jirafas, venados, antílopes, cebras, elefantes, avestruces y otros animales. El lugar más bonito del zoo es un puente que se encuentra sobre un lago donde se pueden observar gran cantidad de cocodrilos. También hay jaulas con monos, distintos felinos, lobos, zorros, hienas, aves, etcétera. El Parque Zoológico Nacional es, por convenio, una unidad docente de la Facultad de Medicina Veterinaria de la Universidad Agraria de La Habana, del Instituto Superior de Ciencias y Tecnologías Aplicadas y del Instituto Politécnico Villena Revolución.

The National Zoological Park of Cuba, located in an area close to the town of Calabazar, in the Boyeros municipality, opened its doors to the public in March 1984, it is larger than the previous one and has an African meadow and a den of lions that are its main attraction. De los dos este último es mi favorito. En ambas instalaciones hay ferias donde lo que más se vende son juguetes y artesanías; hay puestos donde le dibujan el rostro a los niños; miniautos de juguetes para que los pequeños monten; paseos en ponis; lugares para escalar y deslizarse en sogas y varias cafeterías. Estos son excelentes lugares para pasar en familia y con amigos. Si vives en Cuba o viajas un día acá no dejes de visitar los zoológicos en La Habana.

Of the two, the latter is my favourite. In both facilities there are fairs where the most sold are toys and handicrafts; there are stalls where they draw children's faces; mini toy cars for little ones to ride; pony rides; places to climb and slide on ropes and several cafeterias. These are great places to spend with family and friends. If you live in Cuba or travel here for a day, be sure to visit the zoos in Havana.

Hola que tal, parece un buen lugar para estar en familia, sin embargo, el post solamente describe el sitio, más que algo familiar como un momento o algo más cercano al nicho de la comunidad.

Más que lugares es experiencias, recuerdos, contenido donde la familia y amigos sea el centro.

The zoo is pretty big! look at those zebras collection. By the way, I would suggest for you to check out an app called Lightroom. It would help with editing your picture and make them look a lot more cool as some of the shots there are great and with a bit of editing, they'd look even more awesome.
