What's a day in my life like?
I have to admit I do not have the most interesting life. It's not because I'm a boring person. At least I consider myself "not boring", it's just the circumstances I find myself in.

The past year my life consisted of me doing the same thing from Monday to Saturday which was waking up by 5:00am, going to work and running test on Syringes for eight hours, then going home, sleep to wake and start the cycle all over again.
I prayed everyday that ASUU would call off the strike and I could finally go back to school. Lucky for me my prayers were finally answered and here I am back in school.

One would think my life would be so much more exciting. Turns out Uniuyo had other plans.
Now my day starts from the night before with me setting my phone alarm to ring by 6:00am. The next day the alarm rings, I wake up check the times then tell myself,"The sleep just remains only small". Then I go back to bed. I do this almost everyday and because my school has decided to stress me I have eight o'clock classes from Monday to Thursday.

I end up waking up later than intended then I have to rush out of the house. By the way I shower first.
Being a microbiology student I have to do practicals. Our practical takes three hours, unfortunately for my coursemates and I, our practicals haven't commenced yet so our wonderful lecturers have decided that they would "impact" knowledge during that time so we end up sitting and listening to them for three hours straight.

On the days I might consider good, lectures don't hold and we end up roaming around. I spend my hours in the library, a new found place that I love during which I write a Hive post.
Recently I've learnt to write at any point, the few minutes I'm waiting for a lecturer to come, when I go to buy something and the list is plenty or when I'm in the bathroom like I'm doing right now.

My Fridays are quite different, my first class starts by 12:00pm so I have the chance to do my second best thing in the world, sleep.
The hours I look forward to in any day are those my mum calls and we do our "Amebo".
My relationship with her really grew over the last year and now I talk to her about everything.

I attend all my classes dutifully because I know how much effort my parents put into making sure I have a proper education. I told my closest female friend a week that I have worked too hard to get this far to fail. When a result comes out I don't get scared of getting an F. I am scared that I won't get an A. Not that I love school that much, I just enjoy passing.
This is why my Saturdays are spent reading through the weeks notes. People say Saturdays are for "we outside".

I tell myself, this is the Saturday I finally join them outside. It never happens. I think it's more because I like being in my space. My tiny vortex meant for me and me alone, but I promise myself this next Saturday I'll be out of my house.
I'm not of those people that believe Sundays were set aside for church only. I pray and worship God anytime I can.
Talking about the days in my life won't be complete without talking about Vera.

Compiling all words into it, I would just say she's my partner in crime. Sometimes in life we meet people and overlook them not knowing how important they'd eventually be in our lifes.
Vera is one of those people. She adds the spice to my "not so boring life". I'd describe her as my people. She's the second person I tell everything to.
I like to believe that this is just a phase, one I have to deal with till the year's end because I'm still in school but all in all I'm just grateful to be alive.
