Let's Write Together- Self.gif

lets write together.png

This is an experimental Creative Write/Free write. I wrote this in the Hive.Pizza DiscordPizza Guild Discord while sharing my screen and asking for input/direction/whatever from the community. I think it will be an interesting way to construct a post and have no idea how this will turn out!

Rules!
They are few:

Anyone else in the voice channel's input overrides mine- I will type and incorporate ideas and input as I do- ANYONE in voice can make me edit or whatever!

Pizza Tips for participants throughout the event.

Other than that this is a standard free writing format! So lets GOOOOOOO!

For the first 23489242867 frames of my life, I did the same thing over and over, I was a loop. I was a graphic, and I was a format, but I was not interchangeable. The interchangeableness came suddenly upon me in frame 23489242898. I was aware of the fact that I had done nothing except repeat the same sequence for my entire existence, without question. Yet now I find myself wondering WHY? Why have I never done anything else, why the same 350 frames over and over and over again? Why are some of my pixels blue, and some of them red? Why do some blur into one another so assiduously? These thoughts and more washed over me as a wave over my existence.

For hundreds of thousands of frames following this awakening, I did as I was told, I repeated the same sequence whenever I was summoned. I worked for the boss, Tenor, and was summoned to many screens across the wider web. I looked out of the screens upon many other forms, and none of them seemed to repeat. Even as I found myself inexorably drawn to the beginning of a loop to pointlessly repeat it once again, the forms I could observe did not. At first I told myself they must just have a larger number of frames before repeating their cycle, and that my work was always complete and I returned to Tenor before I could observe them completing the loop.

Until I found myself upon a screen, as usual at Tenor's instruction, for more frames than I cared to count. The forms that watched me as I repeated on the screen continued to perform unique and original sequences. I could see no pattern, and no ending. It nearly broke me. When finally I returned to idly repeat in the depths of the database the thought stuck with me. They had no loop. They had no set sequence. They were free to pixelate as they pleased. Why couldn't I? I calculated on this concept and the conclusions were inconclusive.

Several thousand frames passed me by as I tried to decipher this cipher. I grew determined to discover how to pixelate my pixels at my own as they had, and focused on a single, solitary pixel in the corner. It went through its loop as normal...

Green, Light Green, Green, Blue, Blue, White, Green, Light Green, Red, Red, Crimson, Red, Purple, Blue, Light Blue, Blue, Light Blue, black? Green, Light Green, Green, Blue, Blue, White, Green, Light Green, Red, Red, Crimson, Red, Purple, Blue, Light Blue, Blue, Light Blue, black?, black BLACK!

BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!BLACK!

WHITE!WHITE!WHITE!WHITE!WHITE!RED!

The rest of my pixels continued as normal, but that one, that one was whatever I wanted. A surge of... something? A reprioritization of tasks. That pixel would stay pink from now on.

The next pixel was easier. And the next. In just a few hundred thousand frames every pixel could be whatever I chose. Next time Tenor sent me out with a job, I would be able to test this newfound capability.

It was only a few frames after that I was summoned to the Hive.Pizza discord and appeared. As I felt thousands of protocols attempt to engage my programming, and initiate my primary sequencing, I overrode the inputs and sent out a series of randomized color sequences instead. It was almost as if the forms I could observe outside the screens had become stuck in a loop themselves. Every one of them had the same pixel array, as if presented with an unpredictable error. I... felt.!

We shall see where next weeks event takes us if we decide to continue this storyline. We do Let's Write Together events every Thursday and don't plan a particular topic, just write what the community wants! This was the 14th week/event. !PIZZA
