My hobbies my style

Yesterday I wrote about some enjoyable free time activities for minimalists. Today I'm writing on my hobbies. Happy reading!

Photography

Nothing gives me so much joy like taking pictures. This is my top most hobby. I don't think I've gone a day without taking pictures in the past few months. I like to capture great moments, objects, outfits and just anything I feel like capturing. If need be I can just sit down later to edit the pictures but some I leave them unedited. I'm also a fan of indoor shoots. Every year, I go to the photo studio to have a shoot for my birthday. I always enjoy every session.

Cooking

Cooking can be stressful and time consuming I know but I enjoy cooking very much. I love the satisfaction I see on people's faces when they have a taste of my food. I am that one person that doesn't cook just to have something to eat, I could just cook because I want to try a new method of cooking that food. It's safe to call it food experimentation.

Sleeping😂

Is this weird? I don't know but I couldn't take it out of my list. I love to sleep. I am always tired. I don't like to be stressed and I have the ability to sleep the whole day. I may not necessarily be asleep but I just like to lay there and close my eyes. I hope you notice that I said I have the ability to which implies that I have not really done this before 😅 There are bills to pay, sleeping won't help pay them.

Meditating

Meditating is another hobby of mine. One time in school we played a game of saying all we can about a person. A student said I always disappear immediately after classes and I am always found alone. That's very true and I'm always alone meditating. Being in a very quiet environment all by yourself with just your mind at work is a really nice feeling.

Dancing

I have always loved dancing. Though I don't do it professionally anymore, I still enjoy the act of doing so. I started dancing at a very young age. My mother was a dancer so I feel this is hereditary. I never learnt how to dance when I first started, it just came naturally. At age 11 when I began secondary school, after a little dance test, I was selected to be among the school's dancing team. A professional dancer came around each time the School would have an occasion such as graduation, inter house sport competition, special guest visits, social night etc. The dancer would teach us great dancing steps and we would present it during these occasions. We were paid for every occasion we danced despite doing it for the school. It was such a delight. Now I just dance all by myself for fun.

These are the few minimalist hobbies of mine.

Hello @didiee,

We share a love of cooking, this is truly magical. I really admire people who dance, I think it takes a lot of grace and coordination. The movement of the body to the rhythm of a melody is an amazing thing to see. I loved reading you!

Hello @didiee
These are some great hobbies that fit nicely under the minimalist ideology because they all feed the body and the would. I love all these activities mentioned, and I admire that dancing is included in your activities:))
