I put EXIF on most of my photo post.
As a hobby photographer. i learned a lot by checking the EXIF of other posted photo if it's available.

Year 2009.
In the Beginning. with my D80 and 60mm macro lens. i thought shooting macro will be easypeasy :) If my memory serves me right. i took maybe around 5k+ photo before my macro got a little better. it was not easy at all. You will need to be persistent. i goto the park almost daily. maybe for 3hr+ each time. Being new. i did not know how and where to find insects. plus camera setting. Time and place is important. insects shooting at 6~8am is best. almost same with birds. then find a grassy area. places with lots of plants or flowers. Now with lots of insects you can experiment with your shots. You will gain a lot of experiance. How to use camera settings. the fstop, iso and how near you can shoot. eventually you will know.
I eventually used an external flash SB800 speedlight then added a DIY bouncer.
With this setup. Shooting insects macro became easier. Now i got time to be more creative.

regarding my gear. here is my first DSLR nikon D80.

This has sentimental value :) year 2009. i know nothing about DSLR. My Wife Nance has a promo. She told me to buy A DSLR and she will pay for it. WOW! i google and asked friends who knows about DSLR. eventually i bought Nikon D80, 18~200mm , 50mm and 60mm macro lens.battery grip, extra battery. later on SB800 flash.
I think my wife paid maybe 2500usd. with that setup i am ready, i thought. after months of shooting, i asked myself how come photo result seem not good.
maybe at around 2011. i stopped or got busy with other things in life, and just stored the gear in my eureka drybox. yes. i bought one too :) and i did let my nephew and friend to borrow some of my lens.

year 2015. i came back shooting with vengence :) I ask my nephew and friends to return my lens.
This time. with lots of spare time i shoot almost daily. Found a website where you can post photo. There i met a lot of friends who did help and encourage me to shoot. There i saw great photo with EXIF. i experimented a lot and learned.

year 2017. around june. Steemit came. Now hive. I joined and continue shooting.

year 2019. i bought a 2nd hand nikon D7100 and tamron 150~600mm.

Now, covid year. with lockdown in my country. that started around march 16. we just can't got out anymore.
i did check my D80 that i stored on my drybox. was surprise the LCD gone bad.

Since i not used it for a long time? anyways. I googled and found out i think i can repair it myself. found an LCD replacement parts.

Here is my nikon D7100 with it's macro setup.

I did buy a bouncer on ebay. but i noticed insects get spooked more. thats why i still use the DIY pringle. :)

Now, i put my gear at my table so i can see and use them daily if needed. :)
I learned to shot and love photography... ok. was forced by my wife :)

I hope you enjoy my story... tnx for readiing. 😁😁😁
