Impressive photos. Maybe if the background color is slightly different from the color of the ants it will produce a different tone. But it was something that couldn't be controlled, because the ants were in the tree trunks. This is just my opinion.

I hope to get some weaver ants around here. Apparently they ate able to take on fire ants which are an invasive species around here. And accidentally peeing on a fire ant colony, you quickly find out why they’re called fire ants. Ouch ouch! Nice pics as always. When the weather gets warm again I will venture outside with my macro lens, but in the meantime I will have to post some pics of my jumping spider 🙂
