Martabak Bangladesh Since 1977 π· Monomad Challenge
Martabak telor is one of Aceh's national snacks, from the spices and manufacturing techniques, it could be that this food comes from India. I also don't know for sure when this food entered Aceh. What is certain is that in the past trade era when many ships from India and Arabia carried out trade in the waters of the Malacca Strait.
It has been five decades, since 1970, this Bangladeshi Martabak has existed in my city. This is the third generation, starting from grandfather, father and now his son who is involved in this famous street food business in my city.
Martabak Telor is a type of omlet, only more exclusive and authentic in cooking and presentation. The raw materials used are chicken eggs and roti canai as the inside filling which is topped with chopped meat and potatoes, a little chili and cabbage.
Cooked on a special frying pan, this egg martabak has become one of the most favorite snacks in my city. We call it Bangladeshi Martabak; not from Bangladesh, but an abbreviation of "Bang Lah Delima Sigli" - a migrant from the Delima area, in Sigli district who succeeded in building a street food business in our city.
This afternoon I had the opportunity to be in front of a martabak pot to take several picture frames and use them as entries for the Monomad Challenge. I use the Poco X3 NFC Smartphone camera.
In this Monomad Challenge contest, I want to invite my friends to see some of Black and White photos caught by my camera; "Martabak Bangladesh Since 1970", Enjoy the pictures π
