Keeping your inner child alive is essential; sometimes you just need to let it out to give yourself the push to keep going.
I’m sorry you had a rough childhood... so many of us can relate to that. Growing up has helped me realize what my parents were going through things I couldn't understand when I was young. I hope you've reached a place where you've stopped blaming them, and stopped blaming yourself, too.

Yes, it's when we grow up we can understand their place. It is not always easy for them. Absolutely I can understand them and no question of blaming them, I believe it was all part of my soul journey and karma and must have been for my own good.
