Special places dedicated to the history and homage to important people in the country are worth admiring and visiting, even when the history is somber and the events were shocking in the society.

People say that you return to the places where you were happy or that enchanted you at some point, it was my case with this place, I knew that at some point I was going to return and contemplate for the second time all that is there, internalize and think about what has happened in history and how things continue today in society and in countries.

An extensive space that allows us to appreciate works with messages or with some important meaning as this metal structure divided into two tombstones, which refers to free thought and the non-censorship of this or literary oppression, hence the anchored message. This is a place of homage to the victims of state terrorism that existed in the Argentinean country during different dictatorship governments.

Many people disappeared, political activists and other simply civilians during these periods of repression and lack of freedom. It is called the Park of Memory and is located in the northern area of the autonomous city of Buenos Aires, specifically in the Costanera Norte.

Here we have another of the works found in this park, very striking that attracts the attention of visitors, located near the main entrance. Forged in steel and created with the purpose of representing a type of medieval weapon that symbolizes the violence and abuses perpetrated during these periods of dictatorship.

The governments that gave rise to these events of disappearances and repression, censorship and abuses were those between 1969 and 1976, some of them military and others not. The place is surrounded by plaques and tributes in different ways and proposals, which requires a tour of at least two hours at least.

There are other memory parks in other countries such as Germany and Spain, where commemorations are dedicated for the first one to the Holocaust and for the second one to the victims of the civil war in Navarra.

The place is mostly located by its location, surrounded by the Rio de la Plata, well known and representative of the city and with a rather dark side as it is said that in this river the bodies of the victims were thrown from helicopters. In its time people came to bathe in these waters but nowadays this river is polluted.

What do you think about this place and all that it means for the world and the country according to the above mentioned events? I look forward to your comments 🙂

5 years this has been happening to me, it started here, around people that are still here. Homeland security has done nothing at all, they are not here to protect us. Dont we pay them to stop shit like this? The NSA, CIA, FBI, Police and our Government has done nothing. Just like they did with the Havana Syndrome, nothing. Patriot Act my ass. The American government is completely incompetent. The NSA should be taken over by the military and contained Immediately for investigation. I bet we can get to the sources of V2K and RNM then. https://peakd.com/gangstalking/@acousticpulses/electronic-terrorism-and-gaslighting--if-you-downvote-this-post-you-are-part-of-the-problem
