Decorative Elements of the Colón Theater.

Elementos Decorativos del Teatro Colón.

One of the most emblematic buildings in the city of Buenos Aires is the majestic Colon Theater of eclectic style, inaugurated in 1908 and restored in early 2000 for a period of almost 10 years. Building with the best acoustics for opera and where countless artists have performed worldwide.

A few days ago I decided to take a picture of it to share it with you as an entry for the #Monomad challenge and mention some of these interesting facts.

[SPANISH VERSION] Uno de los edificios más emblemáticos de la ciudad de Buenos Aires es el majestuoso teatro Colón de estilo ecléctico, inauguración en el año 1908 y restaurado a principios del 2000 durante un periodo de casi 10 años. Edificio con la mejor acústica para la ópera y dónde se han presentado innumerables artistas a nivel mundial.
Hace algunos días decidí retratarlo para compartirlo con ustedes cómo entrada para el reto #Monomad y mencionar algunos de estos datos interesantes.

Luigi Trinchero is the sculptor of this theater, an Italian living in Argentina who stood out for his impressive work, the reliefs, sculptures remain through time to be admired by that generation, the present and the next ones.

The building covers an entire block and can be seen from 9 de Julio Avenue and from Lavalle Square in the vicinity of the subway line D, "Tribunales" in the neighborhood of San Nicolas in an area known as the district of the arts.

! [SPANISH VERSION] Luigi Trinchero es el escultor de este teatro, un italiano radicado en Argentina que se destacó por tan impresionante obra, los relieves, esculturas permanecen a través del tiempo para ser admiradas por aquella generación, la presente y las próximas.
El edificio abarca toda una manzana y puede apreciarse desde la avenida 9 de Julio y desde la plaza Lavalle en cercanías con las linea D del subterráneo, "Tribunales" en el barrio de San Nicolás en una zona que se conoce como el distrito de las artes.

Here I show you some of these sculptures in detail, taking advantage of the fact that I have another lens for my Nikon, a Sigma 18-250mm that allows me to reach further than the previous ones.

I consider that black and white gives a different and more expressive vision to this kind of photographs. What do you think?

! [SPANISH VERSION] Acá les muestro algunas de estas esculturas en detalle aprovechando que tengo a la mano otro lente para mi Nikon, un Sigma 18-250mm que me permite llegar a lugares más lejos que los anteriores.
Considero que el blanco y negro le da una visión diferente y más expresiva a este tipo de fotografías. ¿Ustedes que opinan?

I have also been doing some exercises in this area to get results in other types of photographs with different perspectives according to the use of light and shadows on structures and buildings. I want to share with you a couple of bonus photos in relation to this.

These photos were taken from the viewpoint of the Kirchner cultural center on the 9th floor. I hope these and the previous photos have been to everyone's liking. A hug and have a nice Wednesday 🙂

[SPANISH VERSION] He estado además haciendo algunos ejercicios en éste ámbito para conseguir resultados en otro tipo de fotografías con diferentes perspectivas de acuerdo al uso de las luces y sombras sobre las estructuras y edificios. Quiero compartirles un par de fotos de bonus en relación a ésto.
Éstas fotos fueron tomadas desde el mirador del centro cultural Kirchner en el 9no piso. Espero que tanto éstas como las fotos anteriores hayan sido del agrado de todos. Un abrazo y que tengan lindo miércoles 🙂
