Early November Boudoir.

(Boudoir a Principios de Noviembre)

We start the week with a post about Boudoir photography. This type of work has many variants and is a form of expression where the intention is to highlight the beauty through the nude, away from the main characteristics of glamor and emphasizing the natural, nothing exuberant or alarming outfits.

Today I want to share with you a last series of what was this session in an emblematic place of Buenos Aires .... The Hugo Del Carril house.

Este tipo de trabajos tiene muchísimas variantes y es una forma de expresión dónde la intención es resaltar la belleza a través del desnudo, alejándose de las características principales del glamour y haciendo énfasis en lo natural, nada exhuberante ni outfits alarmantes.
Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una última serie de lo que fué ésta sesión en un lugar emblemático de Buenos Aires... La casona Hugo Del Carril.

This type of photography generates and has always generated a lot of controversy when there is nudity, because not many people have the same perception that a photographer or a model has, there are many prejudices as in many other aspects of life.

A few weeks ago I had commented that the term is French and it was a boudoir, a room where women gathered to dress, groom themselves and have feminine and intimate chats, this is why the popular use of lingerie in this type of photographs. A place where the access of men was forbidden, as well as men had a space called "Fumoir" destined to meetings for political and business talks and obviously for smoking, where women were forbidden to enter.

! [Spanish Version] Este tipo de fotografías genera y siempre ha generado mucha controversia cuando existen desnudos, pues no muchas personas tienen la misma percepción que tiene un fotógrafo o una modelo, existen muchos prejuicios como en muchos otros aspectos de la vida.
Hace algunas semanas había comentado que el término es francés y era un tocador, una habitación donde se reunían las mujeres para vestirse, arreglarse y tener charlas femeninas e íntimas, es por esto el uso popular de lencerías en este tipo de fotografías. Un lugar en dónde se prohibía el acceso de hombres, así como los hombres tenían un espacio llamado "Fumoir" destinado a reuniones para charlas de política, negocios y obviamente para fumar, dónde se prohibía la entrada de mujeres.

The boudoir is something more intimate of the woman with the woman and should not be compared or associated with glamour or any other type of photographs with more aggressive or explicit poses, one of the differences between glamour and boudoir is that glamour exposes poses like this (not in all cases), with the intention of marketing a product, seeking to sexualize the woman. Boudoir photography is more subtle, in some cases more delicate and with a different character.

Usually for these sessions, natural light is the most appropriate, although depending on the location, the use of flashes and continuous light is obviously acceptable. The game of chiaroscuro is also fundamental to obtain good results.

[Spanish Version] El boudoir es algo más íntimo de la mujer con la mujer y no debe compararse o asociarse con el glamour o cualquier otro tipo de fotografías con poses más agresivas o explícitas, una de las diferencias del glamour con el boudoir es que el glamour expone poses así (no en todos los casos), con la intención de comercializar algún producto, buscando sexualizar a la mujer. La fotografía boudoir es más sutil, en ciertos casos más delicada y con otro carácter.
Usualmente para estás sesiones la luz natural es lo más indicado aunque dependiendo del lugar es obviamente aceptable el uso de flashes y luz continua. El juego del claroscuro es también fundamental para obtener buenos resultados.

In this session I took some photos without flash or others with a small hot shoe flash with very little intensity, we took advantage of the most attractive places and the tones that the room provided us. In addition to this we decided to recreate some scenes that we had seen in reference photos prior to the session opting to use one of the bathrooms available for productions.

[Spanish Version] En esta sesión hice algunas fotos sin flash o otras con un pequeño flash de zapata con muy poca intensidad, aprovechamos los lugares más atractivos y los tonos que la sala nos proporcionaba. Además de esto decidimos recrear algunas escenas que habíamos visto en fotos de referencia previas a la sesión optando por usar unos de los baños disponibles para producciones.

I have shared some of the same photos in color and also in black and white to give you the opportunity to have a different appreciation between both styles since I think that the same photograph can express different things in color and in achromatic, besides being able to play more with shadows, blacks and whites.

[Spanish Version] He compartido algunas de las mismas fotos en color y además en blanco y negro para darles la oportunidad de tener una apreciación diferentes entre ambos estilos ya que a mí parecer una misma fotografía puede expresar cosas distintas en color y en acromático, además de poder jugar más con las sombras, blancos y negros.

Sin duda las fotos en blanco y negro generan un impacto diferente a las que son a color. Aunque debo decir que ambos tipos de fotos están increibles.

Y bueno, qué decir de la modelo. Es una belleza colocada sobre el pedestal del arte. El cuerpo es hermoso por donde se vea y es interesante cuando el trabajo artístico nos recuerda ese hecho.
