Jenn in the Light - Monomad Challenge.

Jenn was the model chosen for this portrait workshop I participated in a couple of years ago. The main idea was to play with natural light in different parts of the studio. This class was primarily aimed at beginner photographers, but anyone was welcome to attend.

A while back, I shared some of these photos with you, but as usual, I never edit most of them out of personal discipline, I only edit a very few and it’s only over time that I manage to see details I didn’t notice before, when you’re exhausted from editing, you don’t have the same visual acuity or perception.

I really love this series and this theme in particular because I perceive it in a very subtle way thanks to Jenn’s poses, gestures, and expressions, which somehow convey serenity and subtlety. Plus, black-and white photography always makes this kind of photo something special. A combination of natural light, a beautiful model, great poses, and a 50mm lens.

I hope you enjoy it and have a great day, too!

Great work, my friend! Your portraits are excellent; the use of natural light is very well done. It's a pleasure to see these images!
