Love Padlocks and Anne Frank Monument.

Love Padlocks.

Sealing love with padlocks is a worldwide tradition that is generally used on some city bridges. Here in Argentina this happens on the woman's bridge in the Puerto Madero neighborhood. I walked around there for a while and took some shots of these locks, I also wanted to achieve different results since I had not taken these photos with this lens.

To make some mentions, This tradition can also be seen in places such as the bridge of Arts, Paris France, on the Milvio bridge in Rome, Italy, on the Brooklyn Bridge in New York, United States and in many other bridges in other countries that I must not know.

Let's see some of the results of these photos with the 85mm lens.

This lock seems to have been here since 2016 or maybe that is the date of the marriage of the couple who put the lock there. For these photos it was not necessary to go up to 1.8 in the diagram opening. The bokeh this lens offered at 2.8 and even 5.0 was very nice.

This one caught my attention... Two large interlocking padlocks and an additional small one. I think maybe it could be a couple with a child and each lock symbolizes each one of them.

There are many locks here. An interesting fact is that a large number of these are removed every year, eliminating excess weight that could affect the structure of the bridge.

I liked the idea of this photo being in black and white better, since this lock was not fully illuminated, In addition, it can be seen in the background on the woman's bridge. I found it more captivating by eliminating the color in this shot.

Have you ever participated in this tradition? Would you ever do it?

Anne Frank Monument.

This is very interesting. I consider myself a very distracted person to the point of having walked here many times and never having seen this statue of Anne Frank. Yesterday I realized it was there, so obviously I took some photos of it from different angles. I also think that it is not necessary to mention who Anne Frank is, those who have no idea can read about her here :)

I have been doing a little research and according to what the media says, the statue was stolen in the year 2022, and was recovered within a period of 12 hours in one of the neighborhoods near Puerto Madero, specifically in Retiro.

After its recovery, it was transferred to the workshops of monuments and works of art for restoration and later to be taken to its original location. I do not know the state in which they found the statue but it took time to restore it.

It has been quite nice to walk through Puerto Madero again and be able to capture some interesting scenes with this beautiful lens, also. In the next few days I will be doing other tours and also sharing other shots of this day in Puerto Madero.

I hope you enjoyed and found some of these shots interesting.

Beautiful photos and a very informative post. If it was pleasant for you to walk there, it was also pleasant for me to virtually travel to Puerto Madero neighborhood through your lens.
