My Wednesday Walk on Florida Street [ENG/ESP]
Today my Wednesday walk is on the famous Florida Street, a street converted into a pedestrian street in the last century and considered the most important commercial street in the country where there are many stores and galleries of great importance as well as the Güemes Gallery, Pacific Galleries, among others.
I was doing a couple of shopping in the area and decided to capture some pictures and share them with you, starting that to get here the most immediate access is the subway of Buenos Aires more specifically in the head station of the D line called Catedral.
Hoy mi paseo de los miércoles es sobre la reconocida calle florida, una calle convertida en peatonal en el siglo pasado y considerada la calle comercial más importante del país en dónde albergan numerosos comercios y galerías de suma importancia igualmente como lo son la galería Güemes, galerías pacífico, entre otras.
Estuve haciendo un par de compras en la zona y decidí capturar algunas fotografías y compartirlas con ustedes, empezando que para llegar hasta acá el acceso más inmediato es el subterráneo de Buenos Aires más específicamente en la estación cabecera de la línea D llamada Catedral.
I took the subway but I got off one station before and decided to walk around because this area deserves a leisurely stroll since it is an aesthetically attractive locality, my walk started on Roque Saenz Peña Avenue until I reached Florida Street, just a couple of blocks away.
I should mention that what surrounds this street or the surroundings are impressive especially for its architecture and because you can really notice the French European influence in its streets and in the urban area obviously speaking of this area.
Florida Street has in its vicinity the BENCICH building and one of the headquarters of the ICBC bank, the first has two very striking domes and with a beautiful appearance, also for the facade of the second.
Viajé en el subte pero bajé una estación antes y decidí caminar porque ésta zona merece un paseo detenido ya que es una localidad estéticamente atractivo, mi paseo inicio sobre la avenida Roque Sáenz Peña hasta llegar a la calle florida, un par de cuadras de diferencia nada más.
Debí mencionar que lo que rodea a esta calle o las cercanías son impresionantes sobretodo por sus arquitecturas y porque realmente se nota la influencia europea francesa en sus calles y en lo urbano hablando de esta zona obviamente.
La calle florida tiene en sus cercanías el edificio BENCICH y una de las sedes del banco ICBC, el primero cuenta con dos cúpulas muy llamativas y con un aspecto bellísimo, igualmente para la fachada del segundo.
On Florida Street there are many shops and clothing stores as well as banks with headquarters and the offices of Argentine airlines, but this street is known for being a pedestrian street bordering between the main avenues Diagonal Norte and Rivadavia.
It is a space for informal vendors offering handicrafts, clothing and various objects. This street is also known for incorporating street musicians at some corners and specific points.
Sobre la calle florida albergan muchísimos locales comerciales y tiendas de ropa así como también bancos con sedes centrales y las oficinas de aerolíneas argentinas pero ésta calle es reconocida por ser peatonal limitando entre las avenidas de cabecera Diagonal Norte y Rivadavia.
Es un espacio para los vendedores informales que ofrecen productos de artesanías, indumentari y objetos variados. También esta calle es conocida por incorporar músicos callejeros a algunas esquinas y puntos específicos.
This part of the city is part of what is called Microcentro which is composed of the neighborhoods of San Nicolás, Monserrat and where the famous obelisk is located, in its vicinity is the Colon Theater, the important 9 de Julio Avenue, Rivadavia Avenue and limits with Plaza de Mayo where the government house of the city is located.
It is an area that includes beautiful buildings, streets and national historical heritage, squares with lots of vegetation and where it is impossible not to feel like a tourist even if you live here, being impossible in fact not to take a couple of pictures during a walk through this town.

Ésta parte de la ciudad entra en lo que se llama Microcentro la cual está compuesta por los barrios San Nicolás, Monserrat y dónde se encuentran ubicados el famoso obelisco, en sus cercanías está en teatro colon, la importante avenida 9 de Julio, avenida Rivadavia y limita con plaza de Mayo en dónde se ubica la casa de gobierno de la ciudad.
Es una zona que comprende hermosos edificios, calles y patrimonios históricos nacionales, plazas con mucha vegetación y dónde es imposible no sentirse turista aún viviendo acá, siendo imposible de hecho no hacer un par de fotos durante un paseo por esta localidad.
Éste fue mi paseo del miércoles que hoy comparto con ustedes, nos vemos en un próximo paseo y saludos a todos amigos, que tengan un excelente día ☀️
