Photo Essay - Depth of Field and Inverted Lens (50mm) [ENG/ESP]

For this second photo I decided to change the values to f5.0 and raise the ISO to 200, so we have a background a little less out of focus but we get more sharpness in the main object. For this test I also used a flash on the camera with minimum light presence.

Para esta segunda foto decidí cambiar los valores a f5.0 y subir el ISO a 200, por lo cuál tenemos un fondo un poco menos desenfocado pero logramos mayor nitidez en el objeto principal. Para esta prueba utilice además un flash sobre la cámara con petencia de luz mínima.

Finally, I decided to increase the value a little more to f9.0 and with an ISO A 800, which would give even more sharpness and less blur in the background. While observing the difference is minimal since it is a small object, in the case of portraits of people the difference is more noticeable.

Para finalizar decidí aumentar un poco más el valor a f9.0 y con un ISO A 800 lo que daría aún más nitidez y menos desenfoque en el fondo. Si observar bien la diferencia es mínima ya que se trata de un objeto pequeño, en el caso de retratos a personas la diferencia es más notoria.

I did an extra test with a spray or Splash as they call it here, adding drops of water on the product with the intention of highlighting these details, I think it has turned out very well with these values. I have never done product photography but I can see that it might be a good idea to try it some day.

Hice una prueba extra con un rociador o Splash cómo le llaman acá, añadiendo gotas de agua sobre el producto con la intención de destacar estos detalles, me parece que ha quedado muy bien con estos valores. Nunca he hecho fotografía de producto pero ya veo que puede ser una buena idea intentarlo algún día.

I decided to take the lens out and invert it, holding it with my hand and adjusting only the ISO levels to 3200 since it does not allow us in this mode to adjust the depth of field levels, the shutter speed was at 1/200, the maximum that is what it allows us when we use an on-camera flash.

The focus in this case will be adjusted as we move the camera closer or farther away.

Decidí sacar el lente e invertirlo, sosteniendolo con la mano y ajustando solamente los niveles de ISO a 3200 ya que no nos permite en este modo ajustar los niveles de profundidad de campo, la velocidad de obturación estaba en 1/200, al máximo que es lo que nos permite cuando usamos un flash sobre cámara.

El enfoque en este caso se ajustará en la medida que alejemos o acerquemos la cámara.

Acá tenemos otro ejemplo de esto pero en otra de mis plantas, utilizando como la vez pasada un rociador para generar gotas de agua y apreciarlas mejor en este modo.

Today I want to leave you two photos as a gift, a quite tender and adorable plus I would say 😄 they are two photos of one of my cats (Aghata) that I took while she was resting from a long nap like every day, I think she rests more than usual 😂
