Photographs on a Cloudy Day in Buenos Aires [ENG/ESP]
There are no bad days to go out to take pictures, whether it is sunny or cloudy it is perfect, whether it is a rainy day, whether it is day or night it is also perfect. We have different panoramas and each one of them offers us different types of photographic styles that we should take advantage of.
For this occasion the series that I show you is about a cloudy day where I could take advantage of taking some reflex shots in different parts of the city according to the opportunities that were presented to me.
I think for some occasions it worked out pretty well!
Para salir a tomar fotos no hay días malos, si es soleado o nublado es perfecto, si es un día lluvioso, si es de día o de noche también es perfecto. Tenemos diferentes panoramas y cada uno de ellos nos ofrecen distintos tipos de estilos fotográficos que debemos aprovechar.
Para esta ocasión la serie que les muestro se trata de un día nublado en dónde pude aprovechar hacer algunos réflex en distintas partes de la ciudad según las oportunidades que se me presentaban.
Creo para algunas ocasiones salió bastante bien!
What you see in the photographs is the Paz Palace, which was the residence of the politician José C. Paz who was the founder of the newspaper La Prensa and a wealthy congressman, journalist and diplomat of Argentina. Located in the retirement district, the building currently serves as the headquarters of the military circle of the city and is a national historic monument.
With an amazing architecture and a style of the school of fine arts in Paris of which I will talk in depth in a post of Architecture as it is worth requesting a guided tour and thus also access the interior, in order to make a more detailed post of this beauty.
Taking advantage of the retirement neighborhood we can see below what would be the Mitre line railroad station, located in the Plaza Fuerza Aerea Argentina also with an imposing facade. Here we were able to take some interesting pictures.
Lo que ven en las fotografías se trata del palacio Paz, la cual fue residencia del político José C. Paz quien fue fundador del diario La Prensa y un adinerado diputado, periodista y diplomático de Argentina. Ubicado en el barrio de retiro actualmente el edificio funciona como sede del círculo militar de la ciudad y es monumento histórico nacional.
Con una arquitectura asombrosa y un estilo de la escuela de bellas artes de París del cual hablaré a profundidad en un post de Arquitectura ya que merece la pena solicitar una visita guiada y así acceder también al interior, para así hacer un post más detallado de esta belleza.
Aprovechando el barrio de retiro podemos observar más abajo lo que sería la estación de ferrocarril línea Mitre, ubicado en la plaza fuerza aérea Argentina también con una imponente fachada. Acá pudimos tomar algunas fotos interesantes.
In addition... Who doesn't love reflections? Rain equals puddles and puddles equals reflections 🤣 so you have to look for them and make a good angle to make the photos more attractive. So we went to plaza de mayo where you can find many buildings and cathedrals and the urban aesthetics of that location is appropriate for this.
So I want to show you what I did today in this tour where we looked for some reflections in this cloudy day.
Además... ¿Quién no ama los reflejos? Lluvia es igual a charcos y charcos es igual a reflejos 🤣 entonces hay que buscarlos y hacer un buen ángulo para hacer las fotos más atractivas. Así que nos fuimos a plaza de mayo donde se encuentran números edificios y catedrales y la estética urbana de esa localidad es apropiada para ésto.
Así que quiero mostrarles lo que hice hoy en este recorrido donde buscamos algunos reflejos en este día tan nublado.
All these photos were taken on the same day and you can see how the sky is shown in different photos, this is how variant is the weather in Buenos Aires, while in the day it is sunny in the afternoon it is cloudy and capable at night it rains 😅.
In addition to these reflections I wanted to take pictures of a building that in its time was the headquarters of the Boston bank and nowadays is the headquarters of the ICBC bank located in the north diagonal where you can also find the emblematic buildings shown in the reflections.
Todas estas fotos fueron tomadas el mismo día y pueden observar como se muestra el cielo en diferentes fotos, así de variante es el clima de Buenos Aires, mientras en el día está soleado por la tarde es nublado y capaz por las noches llueve 😅.
Además de estás fotografías reflejos quise tomar fotos a un edificio que en su época fue sede del banco de Boston y en la actualidad es sede del banco ICBC ubicado en la diagonal norte dónde además se encuentran los emblematicos edificios mostrados en las fotos reflejos.

the place you are at is very nice. I was wondering , is there a river near those buildings that you had lots of reflections takem with them?
It's like that, it's a very nice place! It is called microcentro and no, there was no river, it just rained the day before and I took advantage of the puddles that remained 🙂
