Some Tests with a New Lens | Architecture and Street Photography | Monomad Challenge
Street Photography
Hello everyone! I hope you are having a great day.
Today I am pleased to share some photos with you that I took in the neighborhood of Monserrat in the city of Buenos Aires.
I had about 25 minutes available, it was 6 pm and I decided to do a small test with a Nikkor 70-300mm lens.
A few months ago a co-worker who is also passionate about this art of photography has lent me some of his lenses to take pictures and test them in the city and although it was only 25 minutes I managed to take several shots.
I started by taking pictures of people walking around the area and testing how far I could reach.
A passerby entering the Sáenz Peña station of the Buenos Aires subway line A.
I was standing near one of the subway stations doing these tests.
The truth is that I liked the little I used it and the illumination that the lens has is very good, it also offers a very attractive bokeh. I am considering purchasing it soon, it would be another lens for my collection of work tools. I'm kind of excited about it.
I really liked this photo of this car while the traffic light was red, too.
On Avenida de Mayo is one of the most beautiful and emblematic palaces of the city, the Barolo Palace. I always talk about this architectural icon because it is fascinating.
A few days ago it was celebrating 100 years of its inauguration and I decided to approach with this lens to one of its windows, being able to appreciate the details of this part of the palace, with a high contrast between black and white you can see the beauty of its construction and aesthetics.
Architecture
Look at that shape, that geometry, those high-level architectural designs. Simply beautiful, don't you think?
And this is one of the balconies seen from the avenue.
The building was noted as the tallest in the city and in South America in the 1930s.
Another historic building I took some pictures of was the Heinlein palace, now known as the real estate building. It was inaugurated 13 years before the Barolo palace (1910).
I took pictures of the top of the structure, this being one of the twin domes and they are reddish in color, by the way.
Here are a couple of photos from the same angle but with different focus points.
This is a larger image of the tower of the Heinlein Palace, where you can appreciate a little more about its details, reliefs, windows, the balcony and others.
This is my entry for today's monomad challenge and I hope you enjoy taking a closer look at the aesthetic details of the facades of these icons of the city of Buenos Aires.
That's all, my friends!
Thanks for stopping by and appreciating these architectural details and street photos.
