Trying Some Long Exposure Shots at Los Reartes Waterfall.

DSC_0624 (4).jpg

On one of these days of vacation, we were enjoying an afternoon in the Reartes, a river that is near Villa General Belgrano in the province of Córdoba. We had already visited this place last year, so I wasn't very interested in taking photos here again.

Then I suddenly remembered that I had a tripod with me, just when it was time to leave.

I decided to stay a few minutes to do this test...

The idea of these shots was obvious, to make the water look as if it was some kind of silk, this is what slow shutter speed does when it comes to water.

The bad thing was that the time we left was a bit far from the intense sunset or blue hour.

For this photo I wanted to focus on that rock, so that you can see how the water of the waterfall falls on it.

I think this was the only photo I could take when I was about to leave, you could see some of the golden hour in the background, but it was already late and I had to put everything away to continue on our way.

This is a close up shot with the 55-200mm lens and I think I used the 18-55mm for some.

I liked the result but in my mind it would have been better if I had had all the time I needed, I really wanted to make long exposures during the golden hour and the blue hour. I know that other opportunities will come, I hope they will be soon both in the city and in some natural environment like this one.

I hope you are having a good Sunday or even that you had a great time today.

That's all folks! Thanks for stopping by and appreciating.

They came out good :) I think you probably needed the time to relax instead of taking pictures during the whole trip, which is why you forgot you had the tripod until the last minute?

Que locura como se ve el agua con más obturación no se me hubiera ocurrido ¿Quedaste contento con los resultados o solo en parte?

Stunning long exposure photos! I think my favorite would be the second one with silky water and sharp rock in front of it.

You must have a tiny tripod when you suddenly realized that you have it with you. My tripod is gigantic and heavy, so it couldn't happen to me 😂

I think that's my favorite too, I really liked that shot 😃

Well, actually yes it is kind of small 😅 but the tripod was in the car, in the trunk. I was so focused on enjoying the place that I had forgotten it was there 🤣

Have you taken long exposure photos? It would be interesting to see 😍

....

Here's a picture of this little guy 😄

Always enjoy testing skills using manual selection when you have time in the right surroundings, sometimes super surprised at results.
