6 TRAITS OF A SUCCESSFUL WOMAN ~ LOH CONTEST#89

2️⃣ How would you describe the traits of a successful woman?

First of all, WHO IS A SUCCESSFUL WOMAN?
Is a woman only successful when she has a professional job, real estate properties, companies, brands, shares, fat bank account, fat pay cheques, jaw dropping cryptos in her wallet, flashy cars and an erudite background?

In my opinion; NO! Although, many people are entitled to their respective definitions of a successful woman. However, in my description;
A successful woman is a woman who knows her destination and persists until she gets there.
And I don't believe in the concept that a woman must first acquire material resources before she can deem herself a successful woman.

Every successful woman has numerous traits in common but I've chosen to pinpoint only 6 of these traits:

1. THE HABIT OF SETTING GOALS.

One thing that differenciates successful women from unsuccessful women is the habit of writing out goals which they want to achieve. It's necessary because it serves as a static reminder. Our mind could be preoccupied with so many other things and problems of life that we tend to deviate from our goals.
Successful people are goal setters; they dream big, they know what they want, and identify it. If we don't know what we want, what then do we want to achieve? And how could we ever be successful?

2. STRIVING TO ACHIEVE THOSE GOALS.

It is one thing to write out our goals and another thing to actually achieve those goals. Successful people are achievers. They persist in achieving their laid down goals. No matter how hard it gets or how long it takes, they strive! They're consistent, persistent, determined and ruled by willpower. These are the steps they take to achieve their goals. It's not enough to just write down goals, it's not some wishlist but something we must put into action. Being hardworking and shunning laziness is also another solid step to achieving our goals.

3. RESILIENCE.

This has to be one of my favorite traits of successful women; being able to bounce back from anything life hits at them. It's like a super power, you know. And it's true “life's a bitch”, it'll hit us in our faces with little or no regard. But how we react to it determines our success. We could choose to cry, sulk and wallow in our failures or we could just pick ourselves up and walk with our shoulders high like the success driven women we are. It's solely our choice. And it's okay to bend but we must never break. Remember there's no success story without failure stories in it. Slow progress and failure is a normal phase of life but a successful woman doesn't let it discourage her or weigh her down, instead; she perseveres.

4. CONFIDENCE.

Whether it's in herself or in her skills and abilities, a successful woman is always confident and trust. She never doubts her worth or feels intimidated by her counterparts or fellow gender's success. She doesn't fear challenges. She doesn't shy away. She expresses herself and is capable of finding solutions to problems, whether in her workplace or in life generally.

5. HUMILITY.

A successful woman is always humble, open to learn new things and refine her skills. She learns to accept her imperfections, flaws and faults. She is not prideful. She's not only a teacher and a leader but a student and a follower. She's receptive to other people's opinions and ideas. Another factor that distinguishes a successful woman from an unsuccessful woman is her willingness to adopt new strategies rather than closing her mind up and sticking to outdated ideas.

6. WALKING WITH GOD.

Yes! Permit me to bring religion into this because one's success story is incomplete without giving credit to God. In all things, God is superior, he's our creator that gives life and we wouldn't be here without him. A successful woman is one that walks with God and follows behind, letting him lead the way. There'll be times we begin to doubt our capabilities and realize we've been doing it all wrong on our own. Putting God first, asking for his wisdom, grace, direction and submitting to his will is one of the traits many women have exhibited and this has contributed greatly to their success today.

In all view, being a successful woman takes more than just saying you're one. It's a lifestyle that begins with setting goals and achieving them. And if you can identify with one or perhaps all these traits, CONGRATS! YOU'RE A SUCCESSFUL WOMAN 👍🤗.
