MY EMBARRASSING EXPERIENCE~[WE107] WEEKEND-ENGAGEMENT CONCEPT.

Hello everyone! It's a beautiful weekend to share my contest entry for THE WEEKEND community concept.

As usual, @galenkp dropped interesting topics for this weekend and there I was, caught in a dilemma. I mean, the topics were all intriguing but I needed to pick one right? So at last, after much contemplating, I came to my final decision:

The most embarrassing
Tell us about the most embarrassing thing that ever happened to you personally, how it made you feel and how it impacted your life when it happened and into the future.

As much as I still feel embarrassed to talk about it, I'm sucking it in because, who hasn't ever had at least one terribly embarrassing moment? We're all in this together so let's laugh it off while we can. Ay?

THE MOST EMBARRASSING MOMENT OF MY LIFE:
It was one fateful Friday morning, I can't recall what went so wrong in my dinner the previous night but I woke up with a running stomach. Adding to my predicament, I was to have an exam at my university that morning. "It can't be serious" I told myself, ignoring the impending doom. And after taking one last dump, I wiped my ass, got dressed and left for my exam center.

2 hours later
"Phew!" I heaved a sigh of relief right after leaving the exam hall. "Thank goodness that diarrhea didn't show up again." I uttered.

"Dimma!" I froze in fear. Not because my friend was smiling and approaching me but because I felt something like a sharp stab in my anus. "God! This can't be happening" I said almost in tears. I just froze there clenching my butt cheeks for dear life.

"What's up with you? You look nervous, did your exam not go well?". My friend inquired. How was I supposed to tell her that I'm literally 0.5 seconds away from soiling my pants in public. I was too ashamed. "No it didn't go well, I wasn't able to finish." I lied, the exam was great actually but I urgently needed an excuse for my expression. She started to sympathize with me. Not now Agatha, I don't need sympathy, I need a damn toilet! But the one at our faculty was still under construction. "Great! Just great!" I thought to myself.

"I need to go home." I said to my friend between clenched teeth. Then I winced and wobbled off fast without looking back once. I'm not sure I heard what she said because I just walked as fast as my legs could carry. And stylishly taking pauses when I felt like I was about to give out a blast.

Finally, I was at the car park. I got into the cab, "Back gate" I gave my destination. The cab man stepped on his accelerator and drove off. He must have ran across a pot hole because I inadvertently let out a loud fart.

Lo and behold, I pooped in my pants and to the detriment of the old man's car (It stank so bad). He shot a stare at me from his rear-view mirror more like a "WTF did you just do in my car?" squint.

To cut the long story short, I didn't soil his car seat, thankfully, but I soiled my reputation because everytime I bump into that cab man, he always teases me. And I attracted a lot of stares due to the way I was walking home.

I could hear giggles, and whispers from some onlookers. I got so emotional and cried when I got home.

How did I feel? Of course I felt extremely pathetic, stupid, embarrassed and ashamed of myself, oh and dirty of course. (P.S I was 18 years old, I wasn't a kid😣).

How did it impact my life and future? Well, I'd say it impacted both negatively and positively.

Negative in the sense that it took a toll on my mental health at first, I would usually experience anxiety or panic whenever I thought of that incident. It detracted from my confidence and self-worth. I started feeling insecure and even stopped taking the cab and dinner for fear of that incident happening again.

Now positively, I'd say it changed my erroneous mentality, thanks to the good friends I had, I later found the confidence to share my embarrassing moment with them and I was surprised by their reaction, they totally laughed it off and for the first time, I found my experience funny too😂.

They made me understand that embarrassments are a natural part of humans but how we choose to let it affect us is purely our choice. My friends shared their own similar experience and boy! I had a good laugh that day.

Basically, I stopped feeling bad about myself, although I still cringe a little when I think about it alone. But, anyway, it made me more conscious of what I eat particularly at night and it taught me to always have drugs available with me as anything could go wrong anytime.

In conclusion, my experience exemplified that embarrassments sometimes are beyond our control, so we should teach ourselves to accept it when it happens. Looking back at such incidents with humor can be very beneficial, as this outlook can often lessen the negative feelings resulting from such events.
Well, that's that about that😁, remember to enjoy your weekend and stay jiggy guys. 🤪🌹

Oh no, that's an awkward situation for sure. At least you can look back on it now and own it, see it as just one of those human things that happens.

I actually laughed a lot at your moment of embarrassment and especially the way you told it.
Those accidents happen more than you can imagine, we can't control the organism, if it says it's time to take out the waste, we must look for the place to do it.💩

Life teaches us to appreciate how easy it is to run into embarrassing moment and carry on living thereafter....

Well told how the events transpired, sure the cab driver forgave you eventually, most probably had a chuckle too.
