C.C. Paseo Las Delicias I y II, The twin malls of my city
In my city there are two shopping malls that are famous or popular in the population, but it is not precisely because they are the largest or the busiest, but because they are known for being twin malls. This is because they are located next to each other only separated by a street. The construction of each one is different, but what they do have in common is that they are built with bricks and that the height in terms of floors is basically the same, so that none of them stands out from the other in that sense.
Now, while it is true that they are considered twins, they have quite marked differences and preliminarily I could tell you that one of those is that one has a design with triangular corners and elements and the other with rounded elements, but that will be detailed in a better way as the post progresses. These two shopping centers are located on Avenida Las Delicias in front of the Palacio Municipal de Girardot, a very particular structure that I already shared with you and that you can see by accessing one of the links that are at the end of the post.
So, next, you will see images of the Paseo Las Delicias I Shopping Center, it was the first to be built and is perhaps the one with the most commercial activity. As you can see, triangular elements prevail in its structure, this can be seen in the angles of different spaces of the structure, but where it is more striking is in the corner facing the street, there we can see a triangle that looks quite sharp.
On the inside you can also see how the architect wanted to accentuate the triangular details, this can be seen in the common areas, stairs and rest areas. And well, as I said, the bricks are present in every corner.
On the other hand, we have the Paseo Las Delicias II Shopping Center, this one presents a structure that seems to be better preserved, but perhaps that is because it is of more recent construction. When I say it is more recent, I am not referring to current times, I am referring to the Paseo Las Delicias I. Like its twin, it was built with bricks and that is perhaps the element in which they are most similar since Paseo Las Delicias II has a rounded shape at the corners.
I would say that one of the things that differentiates both malls is that Paseo Las Delicias II houses a hotel that belongs to the famous hotel chain EUROBILDING, which is undoubtedly an attraction that gives an interesting plus to this mall.
So far I have shown you each mall separately, but in the following photo you will be able to confirm that indeed one is located next to the other, which originates the nickname of twin malls.
You can't imagine how good it feels to make these posts, to show famous places in my city makes me feel very proud. Somehow I feel that in the future I will see these posts and that will make me remember the precise moment in which I visited these places and took these photos to share them with this community that daily makes me travel to other cities and countries through the excellent content that users share here. See you soon, a hug.
