Parque Los Aviadores, the largest shopping mall in Venezuela

A few kilometers from my house is the Parque Los Aviadores shopping center, a structure that is just over 10 years old and when it was under construction I was very curious because I was not used to seeing massive construction equipment like the ones used for this mega project. As I have mentioned before, Maracay is a relatively small city, so this type of construction of large proportions is difficult to see.

In the past, when we talked about shopping centers, it was normal to think that the largest ones were found in cities like Caracas, Valencia or Maracaibo, but to my surprise, when Parque Los Aviadores was inaugurated, they presented it as the largest in Venezuela and that filled me with a lot of pride since few things in my city had renown or true significance on a national level. And well, just look at the dimensions in the technical information (at the end of the post) to realize why it is so big.

Just look at the façade and the main entrance to realize that this shopping center was built with an airplane theme, even the roughly shape is like that of an airplane with large wings on its sides, that would be easier to see from above. , but at the moment I don't have a drone for those types of photos. Being such a large structure, it has several entrances both in the front and in the back, the parking lot is also massive.

View from a distance

I went out to a large people's bridge at the front to take some wider photos, I couldn't get the angles I was looking for, but at least you will be able to have a larger view of Parque Los Aviadores.

Inner part

And just as wide as the outside is, so is the inside, the ceiling in the main hallway is quite high, in fact, I would say it is the equivalent of 4 stories high. The roof is supported by several white painted steel columns that give a good impression to the eye.

For its part, towards the sides the ceiling is lower, but with the opportunity for commercial establishments to easily have two floors. The hallways are wide enough so that even commercial stands can be attached in the middle. The air conditioning is located throughout the area and these are installed on the sides of the various square elements that greatly adorn the structure.

Food area

As you can see, the food court is quite large, I tried to quantify the number of tables with apple green chairs, but I gave up trying. Here we can find all kinds of food chains, there is Chinese food, sushi, hamburgers, pizza, ice cream, broaster chicken and other presentations, among many other things. The large roof gives you the feeling that you are eating outdoors, which I particularly like.

Finally, I want to share with you a photo in which you can appreciate the mountains surrounding the city and the Valencia Lake which is quite close to the mall, in fact, I would say it is about 300 meters dangerous, and I say dangerous because the lake has been expanding gradually over the years.

I had a little inconvenience to make this post because I was not allowed to take pictures with my camera, I guess it is not allowed by the mall policies, so I had to take them with a phone that obviously does not show the same quality, but anyway I wanted to share images of this structure that is surely interesting from the architectural point of view. It was a pleasure to share with you, see you soon!

I certainly think like you my Dina, being in our city, this shopping center is a source of pride; I loved going there daily for work reasons since, as you remember, I had a t-shirt brand and I had many clients at Los Aviadores.

I feel that it is preserved very well from what you show and I am very happy to see that there is still diversity in the food area; I think that soon when they do Hive events there you will definitely be able to attend.

I loved the photos from outside, especially the ones you took from the walkway, you can tell that the day was a little hot or am I wrong?... by the way, there weren't many people, somehow it seemed cool to me hehe... a big hug Dina, I loved your post 🌹💖... You Absolutely Rockkk!!! 👍😎🔥📸❤️

Yes it is nice to see that everything is fine and going well, if that day was quite hot! the truth is that also there were not too many people, that usually happens during the week, on weekends if it is more crowded.
The economy has been activated a little more and that makes me happy! it's good that it has brought you pleasant memories!
Thanks for stopping by Fer!

I'm not from Maracay but I've went to the Aviadores a couple times, it's HUUUUGGEEEEE, they should have their own gym 'cause just by going around the mall it's like a legs day haha. I love how its almost all supported by steel elements, it looks so clean and light

You're right, when you walk there it's like a marathon and sometimes you don't realize it, but it's good to walk so it doesn't bother me too much hehe, it's well cared for and quite varied.

I feel week after week very flattered! for me it is a source of joy that my post is appreciated and the way I see architecture despite not having it as a career, I try to give the best with love and humility, thank you for that, and for the great work you do!😇
