This is the exotic Municipal Palace of Girardot
I feel that today's post is quite particular because the structure that I will present is uncommon at least from the little knowledge I have in this area. Normally we see on the internet spectacular ancient and modern buildings that show us the best of each era and each region, but frankly I have not seen one like this by any chance.
Talking a bit about the work I've been doing sharing with you the infrastructure of my city, I must say that I do not dimension how proud I feel to live here, I think sometimes we forget or take for granted what we have despite how simple it may be, but seeing these posts makes me appreciate much more this city and, therefore, my country.
On Las Delicias Avenue in the city of Maracay, very close to José Casanova Godoy Avenue, is located the Municipal Palace of Girardot, this municipality is the one that manages the capital of this State and therefore is the most important and largest both in terms of population and budget; I know the latter because my husband worked there for a while, but it also makes a lot of sense.
As you have seen so far, the structure presents a type of architecture that at least for me is unknown (I appreciate if you can tell me what it is if you know it), but it is very interesting to the eye. I would say that it is composed of three large buildings, a rectangular one towards the back and two square ones towards the front, it should be noted that the latter are not of the same size, but they have the same style.
The two main buildings have six floors, but it is remarkable that it has a basement of at least two floors, in fact I could see it has a subway parking. Regarding the aesthetics, we can see that the color is the original, that is, it was never painted and that results in a concrete color already weathered, but that gives it a rather particular aspect.
At the top we can see a structure that frankly I do not know its use, but I guess the architect added it for a matter of style and harmony with what he wanted to capture, and well, I must say that it was a great success on his part because it is an element that certainly distinguishes this structure from others.
In addition to the structure, there are some elements that attract attention. Hanging from the structure is a rope that runs through a large space in which lies the sculpture of a man who seems to be moving from one place to another, but stays in the middle. I must say that this sculpture always seemed interesting to me because the first impression of people is that it is a real man, so no doubt it gives something to talk about.
On the other hand, towards the front there are some cylindrical and square sculptures painted in red. I am not sure, but they seem to be cement or concrete, but they could also be plastic. Also, we can find a sculpture of Simon Bolivar, who as I explained in my previous post, is the maximum political and military idol of our country.
In the title of the post I mention that this structure is exotic since I have not seen any similar, not even in movies or TV series, so I am very curious to know any other that surely must exist, but in that sense I ask you to give me some reference or link.
It was a pleasure to share with you another interesting structure of my city, a big hug!

Hello @dinaaczib Agree, looks exotic. Seems old building but has art
If the truth is, it has some quite interesting details in the structure. Thank you very much for stopping by!
The base of the building is very particular, its different figures give it a unique style, the building in general is very interesting for its design, definitely the sculpture of the man on the rope is a striking element in this government palace, it is the first time I see a sculpture like this, it is curious; thanks for sharing.
Greetings!
If you are right it is not usually very common, its corners give it that special touch, even the aged structure looks good. Thank you very much for stopping by!
