NeedleWorkMonday : Beaded Sling Bag
Pleasant day fellow NeedleWorkers!
I just want to share to you what i had accomplished lately while staying at home. I made this handmade bag made of beads.
Materials Needed:
- Nylon String
- 4mm acrylic rough beads of different color variation
- a pair of scissors
- zipper for closure
If chain is for crochet. Then cluster is for bead making. I started with one cluster(group) of five formed into ring. Then 15 clusters of 6. Another one cluster of 5 and thats the base.
After the base, start the round one with a combination of black and white beads. The second round is also a combination of black and white. Fifth and sixth, ninth and tenth, thirteenth and fourteenth rounds are also black and white.. The rest are all blacks. This bag has 15 rounds. I used zipper for closure. I just sew it by hand. After attaching the zipper, I made the sling.
There you go. It may look difficult, but this is very easy. If you knew how to crochet or sew or knit. You can make like this too.

Wonderful beads you have!!! I have never encountered such a style of bead and the bag is super cute. I hope the corona crisis will be over fast, so that you can wear this beauty outside (and show it off 😍)
oh yeah i hope so that this pandemic would be over.. so we can go back to our normal day to day life. I know you can make like this bag too if you just want to. It may look complicated but its just so easy to make. 😊😊

The beaded bag is really beautiful @dizzyapple! I like how cute it looks and the flowers all around really stand out. That is a lot of beads! How big is the bag and how long did you take to complete one bag? Did you follow a pattern or was it your own? I am curious how you attached the zipper too. Did you make to sell it? I have seen beaded bags sold and they can fetch a nice price :)
Thank you so much for appreciating my bag @marblely. The bag is as big as a notebook. It measures 8 inches (left to right) by 6 inches (up & down). It took me two days to make the bag. Though i follow aome pattern, but I can say, that this bag is mine. Its my idea. I will show you next time how I attached a zipper to the beads. I still dont know how to video it just by myself. I wanted to sell it but I dont know how much will I charged it.
