El día de ayer, cules y rossoneros se enfrentaron en lo que seria para ambos su ultimo duelo preparatorio en terreno estadounidense. Los dirigidos por Xavi venían de golear en el Clásico amistoso 3 a 0 al Real Madrid, posterior a una derrota ante el Arsenal. Por lado del Milan, los de Pioli perdieron ambos encuentros disputados antes del de ayer. Real Madrid y Juventus -por penales- serian los encargados de vencer al conjunto rossonero.

En un particular duelo para mi, pues soy confeso hincha de ambos equipos, me hacia bastante ilusión ver el partido, a pesar de la hora ser un condicionante importante (11 PM) sin embargo, vi los 90 minutos enteros y me bastaron para sacar ciertas conclusiones que, a continuación, compartiré con ustedes. ¡Acompáñenme!

Yesterday, the Cules and Rossoneri faced each other in what would be their last preparatory match in the United States. Xavi's men were coming off a 3-0 friendly win over Real Madrid in the Clasico, after a loss to Arsenal. On the Milan side, Pioli's men lost both matches played before yesterday's game. Real Madrid and Juventus -on penalties- would be in charge of beating the Rossoneri.

In a particular duel for me, as I am a self-confessed fan of both teams, I was looking forward to watching the match, despite the time being an important conditioning factor (11 PM); however, I watched the whole 90 minutes and it was enough for me to draw certain conclusions that I will share with you below. UNA PREVIA EMOCIONANTE - AN EXCITING PREVIEW

Cuando el Barcelona y el Milan se enfrentan, o están ligados a algún tema en particular entre ellos, no puedo evitar pensar en cosas emocionantes. Para mi, hablar de ambos equipos, en un duelo especialmente, es recordar mucho.

Es pensar en Ronaldinho y el gamper de 2010, con aquella mítica foto entre Dinho y sus ex compañeros, y Puyol otorgándole el trofeo al brasilero a pesar de haber ganado el encuentro el Barca. Son cosas a las que acostumbro el eterno capitán, como la entrega del titulo de la Liga de 100 puntos, en 2013, a Tito y Abidal, o en Wembley, dándole la capitanía a un Abidal recién recuperado de aquel tumor que lo aquejaba. El Barcelona ganaba trofeos, pero Puyol le gano a la vida.

Es pensar en Kevin Prince Boateng -y no precisamente porque vistió ambas camisetas- y aquel gol en la fase de grupos de la Champions, con esa mítica jugada batiendo a Valdes contra su propio palo. Es pensar en la remontada de 2013, el Barcelona propinándole al Milan un 4 a 0 en Camp Nou tras haber perdido en San Siro por 2 a 0. Con Jordi Alba culminando la goleada marcando el ultimo gol.

Son muchos los motivos por los cuales me suelo inclinar a apoyar a ambos equipos. Y cuando se enfrentan, sea en un duelo preparatorio de pretemporada o en competencia europea, suelo disfrutar.

Ambos equipos llegaban a Las Vegas con la intención de cerrar de manera positiva sus respectivas giras, y solo un equipo lo conseguiría...

When Barcelona and Milan face each other, or are linked to some particular theme between them, I can't help but think of exciting things. For me, to talk about both teams, especially in a duel, is to remember a lot.

It is to think of Ronaldinho and the 2010 gamper, with that mythical photo between Dinho and his former teammates, and Puyol awarding the trophy to the Brazilian despite Barca having won the match. These are things to which the eternal captain is accustomed, such as the presentation of the 100-point league title in 2013 to Tito and Abidal, or at Wembley, giving the captaincy to Abidal, who had just recovered from the tumor that afflicted him. ANSU FATI Y LO QUE PARECE SER SU REGRESO - ANSU FATI AND WHAT APPEARS TO BE HIS RETURN

El Milan repetía la misma formación que uso ante la Juve, con las expectativas puestas sobre Rejinders, quien, en el partido ante los Bianconeri hizo muy bien las cosas.

Barcelona, por su parte, premiaba a Fermin Lopez con la titularidad tras su buen duelo ante el Madrid días atrás, y Abde jugaba de titular también. Raphinha por su lado, ya sabiendo que su competencia pronto se ira, tendría la oportunidad de enfrentarse a uno de los mejores laterales izquierdos del mundo, Theo Hernandez.

El Barcelona domino durante gran parte del primer tiempo, con la posesión de la pelota, y los pasajes en los que no estuvo con ella, recupero muy rápido ejerciendo una presión fuerte en el medio, con Oriol Romeu como abanderado en el mediocampo. Pedri se encargaba de darle amplitud al equipo, y Fermin las conducciones y el cambio de ritmo. Loftus Cheek y Pulisic se observaban ciertamente perdidos sobre el terreno, y Leao prácticamente no podia gravitar pues la marca de Araujo le afectaba.

Rápidamente, el Barcelona creo peligro, con las subidas de Abde por banda, y Raphinha de igual forma, el cuadro de Xavi genero disparos al arco y también al palo. El partido, tenia ritmo. No tenia goles en el primer tiempo.

Ya para el segundo, la inclusión de algunos jugadores en el Barca seria definitiva; Ansu Fati reemplazaba a Abde, Lewandowski a Ferran, Yamal a Raphinha, de Jong a Fermin, y Balde por Alonso. Y el Milan, como acostumbra Pioli, no hacia cambios.

El tándem Balde-Ansu por izquierda resulto ser definitorio, con las endiabladas subidas del lateral Ansu Fati pudo generar peligro, y en la segunda que tuvo la mando a guardar de forma épica. El Milan no opuso gran resistencia, y pudo haber sufrido mas goles.

Yamal en cada encare ante Theo creaba un aura de emociones sobre los espectadores, pues un chico de 16 años, atrevido y zurdo, salido de la masía... siempre hace recordar cosas. Lo cierto es que Lamine hizo un buen encuentro.

Apenas cerca del final, Leao pudo desbordar, ya con la débil marca de Dest encima, pero las jugadas no finiquitaron en buen puerto. Y el Barca ganaba el partido.

CONCLUSIONES FINALES - FINAL CONCLUSIONS

De la gira en general, empezando por el Milan, creería que no es alarmante que se hayan perdido los 3 encuentros. Salen cosas muy positivas de este equipo, y teniendo en cuenta la cantidad de cambios y caras nuevas sobre el esquema de Pioli, habrá que darle un tiempo de adaptación realista.

Rejinders ha sido una grata sorpresa en el mediocampo; el neerlandes la pide, se muestra, cambia de ritmo, busca el pase en profundidad. Pulisic, mal para mi, por lo menos creo que de extremo derecho le cuesta. Loftus veo potencia y velocidad, pero eso no basta.

Esperar por Chukwueze, Okafor y Musah, que pronto se incorporaran a la dinámica de Pioli.

En el Barca, las sensaciones son positivas, sobre todo con el rendimiento de Oriol Romeu. Por llegar del Girona, costar 4 millones y por llamarse Oriol Romeu muchos se decidieron juzgarlo antes de verlo. No digo que sea un megacrack pero hasta ahora ha demostrado cosas positivas y que puede jugar en el mediocampo del Barca junto a De Jong.

Pedri cada vez es mejor jugador, si las lesiones le respetasen mas, y jugara una temporada entera, el Barcelona podría permitirse soñar con algo mas que la Liga.

Defensivamente, al equipo se le vio un poco inestable. 5 disparos al palo sufrieron ante el Real Madrid, 5 goles ante el Arsenal también, es un dato a llamar la atención de Xavi, teniendo en cuenta que, al menos en la Liga pasada, el Barca fue el mejor equipo, defensivamente hablando, de España.

From the tour in general, starting with Milan, I would think it is not alarming that they have lost all 3 games. Very positive things are coming out of this team, and considering the amount of changes and new faces on Pioli's scheme, they will have to be given some realistic adaptation time. 

Rejinders has been a pleasant surprise in midfield; the Dutchman asks for it, shows up, changes pace, looks for the deep pass. Pulisic, bad for me, at least I think he struggles as a right winger. Loftus I see power and speed, but that's not enough.

Waiting for Chukwueze, Okafor and Musah, who will soon join Pioli's dynamic.

At Barca, the sensations are positive, especially with the performance of Oriol Romeu. Because he arrived from Girona, cost 4 million and his name is Oriol Romeu, many people decided to judge him before seeing him. I'm not saying he is a megacrack but so far he has shown positive things and that he can play in Barca's midfield next to De Jong.
