5 habits I want to break!

My son and I regularly play this game with each other. We give each other a question and we have to give the other one 5 answers. We have a cards that give us the questions.

We came across one the other day that I wanted to share.

Part of this is we have to come up with the answers as fast as we can. So these were the quick ones I came up with.

5 habits I want to break.

  1. Soda - I need to cut this out. I am not a big fan of diets either so I get a lot of sugar every time I pick one up.

  2. Sleeping in. I struggle waking up at the same time every day. I believe that there are advantages to waking up at the same time every morning.

  3. Always saying YES. I have talked about this in the past. I say yes too Much. I need to work on saying no. Only say yes if it is a definite yes.

  4. Slouching at my desk. I want to starting siting up straight.

  5. work life balance. I work too much. I think part of this comes back to saying yes too much. I need to only work on those things that are required from my job.

I have many more but those are 5 that game to mind. I might start doing more posts like this.

To avoid (1) I drink soda water. Not the flavored stuff like La Croix (which I don't think is available here), just regular seltzer. For (3), I either sit on the ground or I put my zafu (small cushion for meditation) against the back of my chair, which makes slouching uncomfortable so it forces me to sit up straight.

My bad habit—

  • I don't move enough. When the new Apple watches are released in Sept or Oct I'm going to buy one, so hopefully all that health tracking pushes me to move more.

  • I also work too much

  • I need to keep my desk more organized, probably by putting things away at the end of the day instead of just letting them pile up.
