I’m deciding to have more fun!

When faced with a difficult decision, ask yourself what your 80-year-old self and 10-year-old self would want you to do. Your 80-year-old self is most concerned with the long-term compounding of the action, while your 10-year-old self will remind you to have some fun.

This is a good piece of advice I read from Sahil Bloom.

It made me realize 2 things about myself.

  1. I never asked my 10 yr old self until this year. I’ve already had more fun this year than I’ve had the in the last few years. I took my current job to have more fun at work and thus more fun outside of work. I have found time to do things again that I love and I am getting my kids involved too.

  2. Even my 10 year old self is way too conservative. The last 8 weeks have been fun. I’m building. I’m spending time with my family. It’s time to do even more of that. I have epic stuff planned this year. Searching for financial freedom but having more fun along the wayuntitled.gif

Oh you know it! Time is going to pass by no matter what so you may as well have fun as it does. When the days are mostly spent, you will either love the fun you had or wonder why you didn’t decide to have more of it already. I am not letting that happen
