Press Pause

Today I just wanted to press pause on my kids growing up.

Seriously they are growing up so fast.

Sometimes life goes by so fast that you forget to enjoy it. So today I decided to just skip everything that I thought was "important" and just be with my kids.

I ditched the cell phone. I ditched out on the housework that needed to be done. I skipped the workout.

I took each of my kids an did something fun with them.

My daughter said they she didn't care what we did together she was just happy to be with me. Pretty awesome to hear that as a dad from your 5 year old daughter. I just hope she feels that way when she is 15. HA

I probably need to do this more. I still have to accomplish the other stuff but a few days dedicated to the kids will pay off in the future and the memories are priceless.

It gets easier as it warms up outside too. My kids love being outside and that's where we spent a good chunk of the day.
