A new paintings: Victorian Android and his Little playmate

robotgirl3sketchSmall3.jpg
Elinore loved Chromium Charles, he was her bosom friend.

Another pair found their way onto my sketch book recently. The antiquated bot and his human friend seems to be a theme for me of late. I can't recall how or why I first sketched such a pair, but they none the less occupy little pockets of my imagination throughout the day.

Just the sketch of my antiquated tech duo

I've no idea what I'll do with these. I might do as usual and give them some graphic design and place them on things. I do think they'd make adorable Tee's and travel mugs and phone covers, one never knows?

The pair without the background, I rather like them against the stark white page.

It's funny as I always seem to be illustrating stories I've never committed to the page. I suppose as most of my work comes from storylines swirling about my head, it just seems, in some way, that the stories are set to the page and I'm just fulfilling the final act in that, of course I've not done so.

Yet, I'm content simply illustrating stories that merely exist in my own brain. Perhaps, in a parallel space, the "Me" there is diligently typing out story upon story wondering, "Now, who can I get to illustrate these?" I simply need to pop into that realm and exchange work, if it were only that easy, eh?

For now, I hope you are enjoying my little antique gals and their mechanical chums.

I hope you find a moment in your day to indulge in your own passions and may you, in some brief magical way, find a way to share ideas with your parallel self...and if you do, share the recipe for that spell, I'd love to have it.

You are welcome Donna 👋🏻😊
It’s amazing… sadly we do need to move again soon, residency for me was refused… Brexit related. Finding our next step as we speak. I will enjoy it to the fullest as long as it may be. Have a wonderful new week 🌺☀️

These are such fun, Donna! I can just imagine them on a tee! I have no idea where/how my brain works some days, but, at least you are an artist and it can be creating content. My sisters just call my ideas crazy! :)

Reminds me of Rosie the Robot on The Jetsons!

Hello! Hello!

Yes, it's funny what one can get away with when the moniker 'artist' sits before you. The "Eccentricities' are simply seen as clever or interesting by family and friends and not "odd behavior" lol, well at least that is what is said to my face anyway haha.

Yes, I loved Rosie, always dreamed of my own robot as a child, so I think there is definitely some of that in these sketches too.

Haha these are really cool, I like them agaist the stark white too, but the background suites them a lot.

I love the idea that you have a parallel universe version of yourself writing the stories that the this universe of yourself is drawing.

I wish I was able to draw, there are so many images that pop into my head while writing which I wouldn't be able to do justice.

Yes, I love thinking of the other "ME" working hard at her typewriter. I need to find a way to steal her work haha. Thanks for stopping by @killerwot

I finally found the article I was looking for about the book I was trying to tell you about (and don't know if I actually got around to telling you about as I can't even remember if I sent any of the comments I started writing x_x) which I remembered from seeing the first round of this.

I like your little girl and robot much better XD

This is so interesting AND funny, thanks for this @ryivhnn how funny. I must have been 'reading the electronic aether' of the current oeuvre. Haha.

I'm glad you like mine better :) It takes a bit longer tha ai, but It's much more fun!

The current rush of AI in all fields is really starting to shake the world. It is going to really upset the legal field as they've already developed it to basically take the place of MUCH of the legal world, interesting times we live in.

It's funny for me personally as I have an interesting relationship with tech, tho I use it daily and it's tools for my art as well, overall, it does not like me. I can't tell you the errors and breakdowns store computers and creditcard readers have had when encountering my 'odd tech chi' haha even the robot at the local grocery store has gone spinning and giving an 'error' that the workers have to reboot haha.

Thank you so much @juliakponsford I keep wondering if there is any NFT possibilities in them. I'd love to figure out some sort of animating software, since AI is doing everything I wonder if there is one I can plug my illustration into and see it animated?
