A new sketch of mouse and teapot in working stages

I scribbled this little fellow last night.

He showed up on my page, wondering...He looked a bit small on the big space of white so I thought he needed a teapot.

I know I always do when I'm feeling small, or lost or even just contemplative: A pot of tea does no end of good so I gave him one.

Then I gave his fur a shine and perked up his little nose with watercolor.

And for a flourish, as I contemplated the teapots future iteration and the storyline for the little fellow, I gave him some paint splatters, just for fun.

I added , with a digital eye droper, the blue background in the thumbnail , just to give a bit of kick and to think of his colour story.

And I finished off the day's sketching with , of course, a GIF:

Webp.net-gifmaker (5).gif

Because of course WHO doesn't love a gif. I just wish this gifmaker made the creations Large enough to merit it as an #NFT as then I think I'd be filling my digital studio at #NFTshowrooms more readily, but alas, good art and fine things always take a bit more work.

I hope you like this little fellow. I've been sketching mice a lot lately, mainly because it is that time of year when they show up. In walls or along baseboards. In my little garden room/animal area I have in one of the old boathouses rooms I keep the feed for chicken and quail in there. Each morning I go in and scoop and measure out their daily allotment and I always see little 'treasures' left by our friends the mice.

When we had a cat, dear ole' Puss, we had less of these 'friends' but alas, I'm cat and dog free just now (wish it wasn't so, but one day I'll rectify that) but until then I'll embrace the mice, share my few spilled bits of chicken grain with them and keep sketching them.

I hope you enjoy your day and get a moment to indulge in whatever passion suits you and remember, stay creative.

I do think mice are cute but yes...it is the time of year when precautions need to be taken. Reminding me to get the outdoor cushions from the shed lest they become the best little bedding the mice have had in years! ;)
