New Painting: Electric Cat

Another sketch and painting in my "Alternate Tech" world.

Electric Ernest was only just turned on for the first time and his ones and zeros were formulating a means to get at the little budgie in his mistress' cage.

Today's sketch and painting is again from my Alternate universe where tech was created much earlier in the centuries.

This little Electric Cat is going to have a friend in the next drawing.

I'm going to give him his 'little girl' but wanted to have fun sketching and painting up this "Electric Cat" first.

I love the idea of one of my little Victorian girls getting an electric cat to accompany she and her robot chum.

In a way it's a play on the added tech which is most likely coming for humans, with implants and add-ons that the Singularity often hearlds...in many ways our phones are an extension of the brain already.

I've often seen people look to their phone to recall or remember a fact rather than rely on their own brain.

However, in my alternate universe the tech is friendly somewhat, at least early on during the Victorian age.

So, our electric puss will only get into some innocent mischief rather than taking over the world.
