Crochet Granny Square Tube Top

#needlework
Hello everyone. Today I’ll be showing or sharing this quick piece with you all. I hope you had a wonderful day. I have tons of little cute projects to make and share but I’ll start with this granny square top.

I’ll start by saying that this job was like the other beach set. I got it through a third party that has been seeing what I post and all my jobs and she asked if I could make a quick one for her client since she knits and this is crochet so she couldn’t deliver and just passed the job on to me.

We talked about prices and she offered to bring the yarn since my supplier didn’t have these specific colors so she brought it that morning to my location and I got to work. Had to make the first full square first before the others so I’ll know how many squares I need to complete the bust measurement.

I was not so positive about this mixture since I’ve never tried it but trust granny squares to bring out the best in every mixture. When I made one full square it looked so good and I got motivation from there to continue.

Made 8 extra squares of the first color so I’ll have 9 squares in total and when I finished I switched to the lighter color since the pattern was from dark to light not like the others where I did light to dark.

At some point I did get confused but having that first full one I made put me back on the right track.

When I finished the first set of blue I switched to the lighter shade and made two rows each for the 8 squares. After the blue I did a row of white and went straight to join it.

I made one extra row of the white by the side for each square so I can get the perfect measurement for the person. And I went straight to join all the squares. When I finished joining it with single crochet stitches I made one row of the light shade of blue above the squares and below too so I could get the exact look and the next was the sleeves.

I Made a long chain and proceeded to make just one row of double crochet stitches. When I finished everything. I had to start trimming the excess yarn from the color switch and that took a whole lot because I was tired. I had to stare hard so I didn't cut the body too.

So this is not the full top. There’s supposed to be a flare long fabric for the beneath part but I told her I don't do sew ons yet so someone else was to take care of that but yeah this is the final look for mine. She waited a bit for me to finish so she got mad a little but she admitted it looked good.

Greetings @doreenarch, the color combination is beautiful, I really liked it, I'm sure when you add the fabric it will look spectacular; you did a beautiful job with the granny squares.

Have a nice day!
